This. I was so hyped for a cinematic Star Wars game but if it's going to be anything like Destiny then I have no interest at all.

It's really bad business if you think about it because you have destiny as your "competition" and then you compete with your other game anthem, and whatever this visceral Star Wars game becomes. that's if they choose the destiny model. Which for our sakes let's hope not

+Solid Ocelot The problem is not even Destiny could do Destiny right, and nor could it's sequel. I am hoping Anthem can but unfortunately I doubt that because these companies are focused on maximizing profits and care less about just making a great game.

Awwwww thanks Scoop, that's made an amazing week even better :). Maybe a question for another episode? What games would you recommend for a new parent with only sporadic time? I have a ps4 pro and got a 3ds for this situation. I would love a switch but could only afford it if I traded the others in but my ps4 collection is a lot of digital. Plus, I love the ps4 pro and 3ds for their opposite strengths. All the best, Matthew.

Justin Davis good call!! Can't put down A Link Between Worlds and thanks to this episode 'Super Mario3'! It' blasphemy but i've never played it before, a school friend who was a spoilt jerk had it and the most he would do was let you watch him play. For that reason I held it against the game and forgot the original reason why I disliked it. I genuinely thought I didn't like the game but now I remember it was because of that. And yeah, now I love it!! In a way, not being able to play it gave it a certain elusive quality, especially Mario Tanooki.

It's the same structure as something like Mario World though, a fast paced platformer, a home console game. I think the problem is people compare it to something like Galaxy, it never tried to be that. Some of the most fun I've had with a Mario game. Especially when you become really good at it and can fly through the levels.

I think that describes it quite well! It is a decidedly different kind of 3D Mario game than what came before, which I think is why it wasn't quite to my tastes. I enjoyed that style of gameplay more in it's smaller, handheld form, but 3D World is still a fantastically made game.

Games are different because they're interactive. Personally, I don't need video games to have a good story -- they just have to have good gameplay.

+Game Scoop! I disagree because I personally want it all, the complete package, the whole enchilada. Anything less is very unsatisfying. Thankfully plenty of games can and have been delivering on both fronts.

+kuribo04 I said there are a few exceptions. Though I'll admit that Zelda is not one of them. The game locked a difficulty mode behind a paywall. Bethesda updated Fallout 4 with survival mode for free but once they saw that Nintendo could get away with it, they started charging for survival mode in Skyrim within the same year. I also just didn't like BotW... But I know I'm in the minority on that one. I am a huge Zelda fan, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and A Link to the Past are some of my favorite game ever. I enjoyed Wind Waker and Twilight Princess but not as much as the older entries and I haven't played Skyward Sword yet. Breath of the Wild was amazing for the first few hours in The Great Plateau. It's a huge game and I was definitely impressed with its scale and I really respect them for trying to change the Zelda formula but after a while I just started to feel like the game was a chore to get through. I recommend Joseph Anderson's video on Breath of the Wild. It doesn't reflect 100 percent of my views on the game but it does reflect most of them. There have been some good games in the 8th console generation but I feel like every game this generation has an alternative that was done better in the previous 3 generations. Like comparing Mass Effect Andromeda to Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 to give an example that I feel like most people agree on. Andromeda doesn't even compare to the original trilogy. I could go down the list because there have been a lot of sequels that were big let downs for me. Metal Gear Solid 5 was unfinished, most of the story was in the trailers, it was full of open world filler and got split into 2 games, Gran Turismo 5 prologue style. Fallout 4 was worse than Fallout 1, 2, 3 and New Vegas in almost every way except for the improved shooting. Arkham Knight, good gameplay but terribly disappointing story. Those are just a few examples and I'm not trying to say these games are necessarily bad, they're just not as good as the older games in my opinion. Almost every major game is open world now and a lot of these games feel artificially longer to increase the value of the game, even grindy at times. I think the linear singleplayer game genre is dying and I think that what happened with Visceral is what we'll be seeing regularly for the next several years. I've never been interested in Indie games until now because that's probably the only way the kinds of games I want are going to get made or through crowd funded projects like POE. On a more positive note, I've been playing Infamous Second Son recently and I've been enjoying it. Though again, it's a situation where it's not as good as the first 2 but I love what they did with the powers and I like the main character. So I'd say I'm pretty positive on the game so far. I haven't played The Witcher 3 or Horizon Zero Dawn yet and I know people loved those games. Saying "Video Games are Dead" is attention grabbing but it's not really accurate. What I mean is that modern day video games are dying for me. I find myself going back and drawing from the well much more than I did before. Maybe this is just a personal problem but I find it interesting that I got 15 thumbs up and the person calling me over dramatic got 14 thumbs up. That tells me that people are split on this issue and it also tells me I'm not alone.

Well, the content of the podcasts is completely different, for one. Having the same art hardly ever happens. It only happened this week because this is the only asset for this cancelled game.
