Watching the TOP 20 on KZfaq, I saw an advertisement of UNHCR, which reminded me again, that there are so many people in the world, who are in a far worse situation. Who do not care so much about last year as a year without parties, but about what COVID also did to the vulnerable people in the world, their children, their families. It is a coincidence, but listening to the awesome music, it is important to not forget the people who probably will never have the opportunity to even think about having missed a festival. Merry Christmas and a better new year to everybody.

In order to be #1, the song shall combine older trance fans (who has grown on tiesto's silence, armin's communication, etc) and newer trance/house fans (aka gareth emery, armin's need you now,etc). Aly&fila song combines both elements and this is why it is #1.

NOW THIS WAS A REAL TRANCE COUNTDOWN. Armin all the songs you kept saying "i dont know why this one or this one didnt make the list!" Because most of them are not the trance sound! They have tones of other genres in it, I cant count how many goosebumps I got listening to this countdown and some happy tears. That is real trance. This was the best countdown ive heard in years so thank you to the people for finding the sound that has been missed from this genre!!!!

Concorde @TheDanielKandi & Boris Deckert 5. Duality @PAULVANDYK My other fav tracks though were by Ottaviani, Ciaran McCauley, Craig Connelly, Bluestone, Armin's Avira's Mask and Hollow, and of course Aly & Fila's winning track. Thanks for an awesone year ASOT. Really kept us going through tough times.

If Giuseppe Ottaviani was the man of 2019, this has been the year of Will Atkinson in my opinion. I voted Rush as my number one and I was really surprised that even catched Ruben de Ronde's heart. I considered Ruben more of a progressive style man, but the banging melodies of Rush did the magic. Long live the king of Scotland!
