Vonna, we had a lovely Easter service at Holy Innocents. I cried because I was so moved. Thats how it should be! I will keep you in my prayers. Prepping is the hard part. I'm sorry you were so sick! I just learned how to do a loop start, its about time. I think I'm really going to enjoy it. I'm stitching along on a mini sampler that has several specialty stitches. I am really tickled with them. I started in embroidery so it's been fun to learn new cross stitches! I also want to try gridding. I have not seen Luda but I will try to find her. I always start in the center. I have been stitching in hand lately & do like it on small pieces but you have me convinced I need to try the rolling frame. I've been having a lot of hand pain & hopefully this will help. Twenty year ago I used hoops but have never tried the rolling frame. So sorry to hear about the loss of your Chatterbox. I know this is a hard time and a very special print on your heart with his love. You are a special gift and blessing to many and I am so glad I've gotten to enjoy knowing you somewhat thru these videos and stitching with you. Glad that you are taking care of your health and following Dr.'s advise. These test are not great but a true necessity. Vonna - I wish you joy and peace lovely lady! I can not tell you how excited I was to find your latest release. Since you mentioned stitching Jesus I have been so excited. As I am a relatively new stitcher, I am unfamiliar with many of the current trends. But, as an older lady born and raised Catholic, it brought me excitement and hope. I was married and divorced at a young age - long story. To date, I do not receive Holy Communion because of this sin. Recently, I have decided to rectify this situation as it is very important to me to fully participate in Mass. When I spied the Vervaco Jesus I was completely captivated and bought it at random. It has been in my stash for a year, but captivating nonetheless. Throughout Lent, I awaited your progress. On Easter, I noted your video, thanks be to God. I began kitting and readying the Vervaco Jesus that very moment. I began stitching our Savior yesterday. I felt such peace and joy beginning it. I’ve been stitching for nearly 40 years and it’s never occurred to me to start with the loop method from the top instead of the bottom! I just finished a Quaker flag from a Vivsters Etsy shop. Now I’m stitching Shepherd’s Bush’s Sweet Land Sampler. I was taught to start in the middle, so that’s what I do. Have a Good week.

I love watching your videos and am so glad you didn’t take them down. But this particular video I REALLY enjoyed. Watching you stitch and hearing the music in the background was so relaxing. I usually have Floss Tube on or am watching TV with my husband when I stitch; I never thought to put on relaxing music to stitch to (duh). This video has inspired me to take my first attempt at a full coverage piece out of timeout, put on some soothing music and try again. I will also be checking out Mary Rose’s videos while stitching some less intense pieces. I’m sad to hear about Chatterbox, but glad his last breath was taken in the loving arms of your daughter. Thank you for all your Floss Tube videos and “keeping it real” I feel I learn something from each one whether it’s cross stitch related or otherwise. I most definitely am learning a lot from your tutorials and still have more to learn.

Nice to have the stitching company! I stitch in hand unless the fabric is extremely floppy - most times if you roll your fabric in to where you are stitching it's firm enough. Just wanted to let you know that "eye up" method you showed works on in hand stitching too. Thanks for that tip, I'm finding the thread doesn't twist at all and the stitches lay really nicely! I even think it stitches a little faster. I'm so sorry you lost your furry family member. I know that sadness all too well. One in particular really broke my heart - I sat in my room for 4 days crying like a baby - God flashed a vision in my mind of my Subida leaping thru the air chasing a butterfly! It truly helped and I hope your Chatty has met up with my Subida - she was all white with sky blues and I'm sure he will be enamored with her beauty 😊

Hello Vonna, you have so inspired me through the videos you’ve given us. I learned how to stitch holding my needle the way you do and never looked back. I saw your stunning finish of Jesus and knew I had to try it. It was framed by my husband and we gave it to one our best friends who said she plans to pass it down the generations who come after her. I bought two more of these and I am in the process of stitching Jesus for a friend who is a lay Franciscan and more like a brother. I thought of stitching the third for our home, but I am sure there will someone else who may like to have it even more. I love Mary Rose also. She is such a joy (as are you). I really enjoyed stitching with you today. I had a colonoscopy this morning, so I'm taking it easy for the rest of the day. I'm prone to polyps of a nasty nature too. I have had horrible preps with the liquid, but this time I was given the choice of liquid or pills and I went with the pills. They did the job and I had no problems at all. Unless you count being up until 1:00 am and getting up at 5:15 am to get to the surgery center by 6:30. Hope you had a blessed Easter.

I'm an aida stitcher, but decided to do the piece as called for. Right now I'm stitching on the black piece of linen. Once this is done, I will not do this again. I really don't understand how people stitch on 40 and higher counts. I have a light trained on the work plus using readers and a magnifying glass. LOL. Okay. Sorry I'm complaining. But you caught me at a point where I'm just going to put this down. Your Jesus is absolutely beautiful. I hope you had a blessed Easter.

Thank you for letting us into your stitching nest. I'm working on a Sugar Skull one over one on 28 count. It will be a gift for a work friend who is of Hispanic descent and who loves the 'day of the dead' iconography. I'm an upper left start person because I usually work on samplers and like to start with the top borders. I stitch with my hands just opposite yours, right on top and left beneath. So working left top to right bottom means that I don't ever rest my upper hand on worked stitches.

GRIDDING: VONNA try the “fine point Mark-B-Gone” blue marker. I get mine at Joanne’s. I grid as I go using this marker. It doesn’t disappear until you put it in water but it does disappear quickly. I only use it on fabric I can wash of course. It’s so easy and fast to use.

Sorry about your cat, they are our family. Lost No More kit I stitch years ago and framed myself too. I went on Amazon and searched for a ceiling light. It can be mounted with velcro or screws and it is battery operated 2AA and different times to set how long it stays on. I love that part because the batteries last longer. I love all your stitching and finishing and very grateful that you share with all. You are a very sweet lady and you and your family have a wonderful Easter. PS. Congratulations on your state fair second place! It was a joy to watch you today. I started the names of Jesus. BY joyful Expressions. I had a pacemaker put in two weeks ago and have not been allowed to stitch. But I was careful and started this one today. I got it a year ago for a resurrection day start. On needles, is funny. I like small needles. I only stitch with MFN. I bought up some when they went out of business many years ago. I guard them as gold. It’s fun to watch another Hoosier.
