She grew in Kenya till 10 yrs old. Went away to the USA for 14 yrs. Then came back in 2010. By that time she was 24. 2010-2019 is 9 yrs. She is 33 yrs old. I have had to watch several times to do maths correctly. Dont thank me mates, what are friends for?

Jeff, anyone born in Kenya is Kenyan by right of birth. I'm sure you know that, just saying. I want to believe that it was a subtle way of asking her of her parents' origins. Fun interview though!

cadeau nope!! That is not correct, unless both your parents are Kenyan, but birth does not give you a direct citizenship in Kenya.

It clearly says at the back of your birth certificate that its not proof of kenyan citizenship

TheMrgoodmanners My birth certificate has the registrar's stamp at the back and nothing else. It was issued many decades ago, that must be the reason why. Thanks for the information though. I've learned something

I knew a famous Professor Rubadiri who was at UON department of literature/ linguisticsand he was a black Malawian. So Iam confused about the her story. I also know a couple of Ribadiris from Malawi
