The two neighbouring villages of Ħal Kirkop and Ħal Safi lie west of the runway of Luqa Airport and feature several sites of historic significance including a menhir, punic tombs and Paleochristian catacombs. The remnants of Roman-era wall constructed with huge ashlar blocks still stand at Hal Safi.
To its credit, Hal Safi Local Council can boast the only "Ġnien tal-Kmand" (gardens commissioned by Alexander Ball at the turn of the 19th century) that is regularly open to the public. It is a well-maintained garden featuring several interesting trees and plants as well as an old apiary that is still in use.
Music: Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto movements 2 and 3.
