As much as I feel for the pens, this is what happens to every team after they make cup runs. The crazy part is that you guys got 3 cups out of it. Tons of teams trade picks and prospects to get cups and never get there, they all end up back in rebuilds and the cycle continues. I think everyone saw this coming eventually, I think it should of happened a few years ago and it got dragged out but it’s rebuild time for sure.

Its ironic that the SHarks trading for Karlsson is what totally wrecked the team and put them where they are now (losing Josh Norris and the pick that turned into Stutzle) and they ship Karlsson to pitts and he sinks that ship too. But to what you stated, they got 3 cups out of it... the Sharks made so many moves and didnt get anything out of it, that their last move - the Karlsson trade, was the worst one of them all.

He's not shell-shocked he knew the trade was coming, don't think he wasn't in conversation with Dubas. Smith for the most part who has been not near up to par. He's frustrated and probably very concerned and then lose 6-0 to the Caps at home and disappoint the fans and tonight pretty much sealed the deal on their post season.
