Starting at the entrance to the outer harbour, take a step-by-step stroll along East Quay, West Quay and Polkirt Hill finishing at the lighthouse.
This video is designed to watch while exercising on a treadmill or exercise bike. We deliberately do not talk. Although we try to eliminate spikes in volume, sometimes the natural surroundings and people will create noise, e.g. dog barks, cars, chatting or doors slamming.
The standard description bit…
We are Sarah and Andrew and we film our walks around Cornwall and publish on KZfaq, usually weekly. Sometimes we stay in accommodation in Cornwall and upload our vlog. Sarah is fascinated by sea glass and likes to collect it so there may be the occasional sea glass video too. The channel is a hobby and we both have normal day jobs!
Frequently asked questions:
What camera do we use?
Since December 2018 we have used: Canon Powershot G7x MkII
How do I find the books you use?
Some are still in print, but others we pick up in charity shops and these may be available on Amazon secondhand. Please refer to the video for the book titles. Every video shows the book about three times. Sorry but we can’t put a link in every description.
Best time of year to visit Cornwall?
We love May, June for flora and fauna, July and September for spectacular scenery.
What is your dog’s name?
Sorry but we do not release the name of our dog, perhaps you can make up your own name for him.

And now, as I looked at this excitingly coloured annual in the barber's shop, I saw something that gave me almost a physical blow of painful excitement. One of the pictures was signed, in bold red paint at the bottom right-hand corner, with my own name - Pentecost. I sucked in my breath hard and the magazine trembled in my hand. It could not be - but it was. Kitto Pentecost. The line printed underneath let the thing beyond doubt. "The Fishing Fleet at Mevagissey. By Kitto Pentecost, R.A."

Love these virtual walks, just like being there in person. How Fore St. has remained two way traffic is beyond me ! And so many dogs on such a hot day.

Totally agree about Fore Street!! I think a lot of tourists bring their dogs when they are camping, so of course they have to bring them on day trips too! Hopefully they let them have a good swim to cool off, Sarah :)

How quickly half an hour passes when walking through the beautiful city with you. We love the narrow winding streets and with their houses. In addition, there are the beautiful shots of the harbor with the colorful ships and the turquoise water. What I absolutely love are the two women fishing at the harbour, you don't see that in Germany. Thank you for the wonderful video and the half hour holiday in Cornwall. Best regards, Gunter

So look forward to this Friday treat ~ this time a gorgeous walk around Mevagissey! Love the way the street pattern and placement of those pretty & quirky cottages seems to have developed organically ~ some virtually attached to the rock. It's impressive how Andrew manages to maintain such a steady-cam image, even in the town centre with so many people (& cars) coming straight at him. It makes me chuckle every time when you suddenly appear with a beaming smile after Andrew seems to have lost you.

What a fantastic walk. Lots of small side streets that are so serene. Some nice uphill stretches with very few people, which appeals to me. Found the whole walk so relaxing. Thank you Andrew and Sarah. Another way to get away safely, whilst confined to the house because our shielding never ends.

Beautiful village and a lovely day for a walk. I really like your virtual walks because I can hear the noises in the village. I'm sure you both are use to hearing the seagulls, but to me they really stand out in the background. Love this villiage. I will watch this video again while I exercise in my house. Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us.💕

Brings back memories! In 2014 rented one of those houses at the very top of the hill. Beautiful views into the Harbour. Unfortunately it rained most days ☹ but it was still nice. Long walks up and down into town! Hello from Virginia! Lovely video!

While I missed your witty banter and history tidbits on this one, it was great to just soak up the atmosphere of this charming seaport town. It seems what they say is true: if you own a boat, you will always be working on it, LOL. Hopefully Cornwall is faring better than London with this horrible heat wave. We are used to those temperatures here, and CalFire has air support with fire retardant drops and water tankers, but it is still scary. Stay safe and cool!

I hope that your wild fires are more under control. We have had a wild fire burning on a cliffside in Devon for two months now. It keeps re-igniting in the dense undergrowth despite sea water being dropped on it! We are heading for another 10 days of dry weather, and hosepipe bans coming into force as water reserves start to run low! An extraordinary summer! Sarah

I thought you were actually going on a virtual SAIL Sarah instead of a virtual walk at 4.04!!! Awe inspiring views and impossibly narrow streets (If anyone is thinking of driving a car round Mevagissey I think that 12.45 to approx 14.04 on the vid should change their minds!!). I see you managed to lose your husband Sarah :-))..... finally catching up with him down by the lighthouse! But you missed all the lovely views from the top! There's a really nice pasty shop in Mevagissey (I'm sure Andrew will have taken a detour in there on this walk!). And I loved the knitted Jubilee bits and bobs alongside the harbourside. Fab vid as always x J x

When I've been to Cornwall I've visited a few times but never enjoyed it. The vibe isn't there and fairly cramped. I do however understand its appeal to others. I love Cornwall but of all the places I've been to to have a wander around etc this is my least favourite.
