I'm not trying to do high level time trials. I've just been replaying Double Dash this last week, and I've been trying to learn this technique. I'm still not amazing at it, and I look stupid a lot of the time, but full A-tech has given me the most fun I've had in Mario Kart in a long time. I just did 50cc flower cup, and I was faster than I was in the 100cc flower cup last week. 50cc seems like a great place to practice A-tech.

Thanks for making this video! I didn't know there are different types of A-Tech. I heard competitors say that A-Tech can be executed to various levels of success but I didn't know there are different types of A-Tech. I didn't know A-Tech had SO MUCH influence on driving technique. I thought it just allowed, straight stretch Mini Turbos or MTing without wobbling, keeping control of the vehicle but it now seems like it is the basic of 'very high' level driving techniques? At least that's how I have interpreted this video after my first viewing of it. I sometimes wondered, "How do competitors at God/Goddess level race around Baby Park with such sideways momentum technique?" If I compete again, I'll be rewatching this video multiple times. It's so awesome! As I say, too many great videogames but if I focus on MKDD!! again, properly focus, I think this video could be great for improving my PRs. In honesty, I don't focus properly and it seems a bit complex so I don't know how I'll go in the future but thanks for making this great video:) Thank you!

Maybe I'll actually understand sideways strat for BP now. The MT after you clear the corner trips me up every time. That timing is very weird and unintuitive. I also notice I have this tendency to obtain blue sparks before screwing with A releases, which is the exact opposite of what you need. On many of your fancy A-tech examples, you're releasing A when you're still charging the turbo. I'm not doing that, so I always feel like I "run out of room", or I'm "not quick enough". This is a major adjustment I need to make for fancy a-tech to work for me.

Never got the knack of learning even the normal a-tech. Think I was letting go of A before should button

As a noob, I find that releasing A makes the cart lose almost all traction, and I fall off EVERYWHERE on Wario Colosseum. I think A-tech might be abusing that “feature” to remove the forwards traction of the MT boost

Mkdd, mkds and mkwii are perfection in terms of skill expression. Almost always the best player should win no matter what in these games and it should be that way, imo. I also enjoyed mk7. Mk8 has too much bs for me its just not the same.

When I try to drift on straights, the back end of my kart swings out very far. Any advice?
