Formed as an ABBA tribute band, the Swedish pop group was composed of Marie Serneholt, Amit Sebastian Paul, Dhani Lennevald and Sara Lumholdt. The band released four albums and had ten top 10 hits in Sweden before disbanding in 2004.
Teen Spirit marked a departure for the group as being composed almost entirely of new material. The vocals from the boys were also showcased more prominently. The album peaked at #2 in Sweden and #50 in the US, earning it a gold status. Four singles were released.
Released as the second single from the album, Halfway Around the World peaked at #7 in Sweden and #30 in the UK

You can really hear their ABBA influence. They really were a modern version, granted more "Teen Pop", but I wish either group would reunite someday.

That was the intention to create a group of younsters to spread ABBA's songs between younger generations. Abba personaly picked members of A*Teens (Original name was ABBA Teens)

When i was in the 6th grade (in summertime 2001) this was our last day of school song I SO MISS MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!!!! 90s and 2000s pop will live 4EVER!!!
