There are many comments on the bed, please withhold judgement until you look at the updated version at 9:20 here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l9GJqdaCssCvn5s.html I have made many improvements, including putting the base on drawer slides and using magnets. Now less than 20 seconds to convert. My design goal was to have a sofa with a comfortable seating depth and height, and a queen size bed. I have never seen a futon or jack-knife sofa that has achieved this, they always need some pillows behind your back so you can sit up straight. Thanks for watching!

Darren, I am building a very similar design right now and trying to figure out where to put my steering. What component are you using to flip out from the wall? Or did you build something? Thanks in advance! Love the steering recessed into the wall!

A little slow on take off when anchored. Love that part. Reminds me of me at times. The whole boat is amazing. I rather owen something like that than rent a small apartment anytime!

How amazing! I could easily live there, maybe have it a little bigger, mostly to have a little bigger kitchen, but other than that i think it’s amazing and well build :) Edit: that backdoor screen was something i’ve never seen before, perfect to have for a nice summer breeze :)

Been nice to see under sink and next to fridge storage space. Could you put tiny casters on the bottom cushion so the bed could roll out (another latch into floor to lock it in couch mode) All in all pretty tight build. How long could you stay on the lake with out going back to resupply? How far can you travel on a tank of gas? Maybe a trolling motor and battery for backup propulsion? thanks for sharing.

Ron Smith , I plan on putting the bed on drawer slides, but I can't find the right size yet. I can stay on the lake as long as I want, we have a marina to fill the gas and propane, everything else runs on solar.

so many questions where do you get the fuel at how do you put it in the boat and where are the tires 😁 And to be serious thank you for the video pretty cool looks a little tight for anything more than two people but would be nice to go out into a deserted area that’s calm just have a night out

This is PERFECT. I'm sure over time they'll improve the bed but I'm surprised that Honda generator was that loud? Maybe it was louder because of how the video was recorded but that was quite loud.

i would have just bought a caravan and stuck a pair of pontoons under it , i have had more than a few bed setups in things i have lived in over my life but this one guy made me think i would never have slept if i had to do that every night !

I love it. What is the length and width of the houseboat? What would I be looking at in costs to build a similar houseboat? I live in Florida and we have a lot of lakes that I'd like to camp, fish and nature watch in a houseboat. I'm not sure were to begin.

Nice Boat! - Your Racor Fuel Filter is upside down! The Plastic Bowl should be on the Bottom. Add a Hose to the drain and it will allow you to drain any water that comes thru the fuel system. The filter will perform better too! ;-)

it is a beautiful house boat, I am a little concerned about the distance from the stove burners to the bottom of the cabinets. The bed is very cumbersome, I would put in a daybed wide enough to sleep on and call it a day. awesome steering setup and I love the upper deck area.

It was a 2009 Beachcomber 24 foot pontoon, then I added a middle toon from another boat.

beautiful house boat; you might want to rub a little bar soap on the bed sliding wood parts. it will eliminate the friction.

I don't have any plans, but it is framed like a house. I used treated wood for the bottom plate and regulars 2x4s for the walls and 2x6s for the ceiling joists. I do have some photos of the build, I may make a build video referencing those, since there is so much interest.

Well thought out boat.. except for two things. #1 that couch bed. #2 Cabinet above cooktop is too low & should have a 12v RV exhaust hood. 🤔
