so if you look closely cuz it's a tiny spider and not the best quality video you can see it right from the very beginning crawling around the kaoss pad, I kind of point at it in the video when i notice and by the time I get back with a little pill bottle I was going to get it to climb on it was already inside the kaoss pad 😲🫨
I zoomed in a bit right before it crawled inside the kaoss pad into the headphone volume knob but like I said the video is not the greatest so it's kinda blurry i also added a little beam effect pointing it out but only for a second
annnyhoo since then i havent seen spider babies crawling out of it or any other nightmarish scenario and the kaoss pads working great so if its still in there so far we live in harmony.
speaking of spiders have you all heard of ballooning? Always been interested in how it works, from Wikipedia:
Ballooning is a behavior in which spiders and some other invertebrates use airborne dispersal to move between locations. A spider (usually limited to individuals of a small species), or spiderling after hatching, will climb as high as it can, stand on raised legs with its abdomen pointed upward ("tiptoeing"), and then release several silk threads from its spinnerets into the air. These automatically form a triangular shaped parachute which carries the spider away on updrafts of winds where even the slightest of breezes will disperse the arachnid.
Most ballooning journeys end after just a few meters of travel, although depending on the spider's mass and posture, a spider might be taken up into a jet stream. Ballooning is the most common way for spiders to invade isolated islands and mountaintops. Spiderlings are known to survive without food while travelling in air currents of jet streams for 25 days or longer.
