I mean, Maeve has a happy ending. Sure, she lost all her powers, but she hated them anyway. This shows that this series isn't going to be following the comic route, where spoilers Maeve gets killed by Homelander protecting Annie and A-Train got killed by Hughie when he enraged him about Robin’s death, and even if A-Train were to die in this series it wouldn't be by Hughie’s hands since he's made peace with A-Train

Easily one of the greatest character redemption arcs ever, and I’m glad it did, part of me always did like and feel bad for a-train, and I wanted to like him, but he just kept making bad decisions over and over, and it only caused me to hate him for it, so now that he has completely redeemed himself, I couldn’t be happier about it

Jessie Usher deserves an award for how well he plays A-Train, the tragic Hero with the best redemption arc. This is how a compelling character is written, future writers take notes and learn. Absolutely amazing edit, A-train really emphasizes so many core themes of the show. Human connection being necessary, love needing to be unconditional, the human experience, remorse. The boys can have some aging/current issues in it that people argue over but its themes are very well explored. Amazing actors. Lyrics: "Take the next train" in the chorus, cool.

Probably because Hero’s always die doing good, that’s the risk you take when you use your gifts to commit selfless acts. A train even said it himself in episode 3 of this season that giving a shit only gets you killed. He’s come to full terms with that and he’s ok with it, he’s completed his character arc and the writers are deciding for him to go out the best way possible
