The only time you were able to hear this version was if your local hip hop mix show decided to play it, or in the club if you were old enough. The only way you could own a copy is if you were lucky enough to have your blank tape ready to record when the DJ dropped it, or you were one of the lucky ones who were able to get the vinyl 12 inch. That's why this song is held to the degree that it is by hip hop fans of that era. That plus the fact that it's a DOPE ASS RECORD.
