Nicole ATCQFAN No they definitely did the beats individually. Q-Tip even admitted that for Beats, Rhymes & Life, Dilla just sent him the beats (the ones credited to him) and Tip would only mix/lay the vocals.

1997 I took a train into Manhattan to see "Boogie Nights", and after my mind was completely blown by that movie, I found this CD at nearby record store. I rocked this song on my CD walkman the entire train ride home.

My wife just turned me on to this in 2023. A trip that I missed this even though I've been listening to Tip since 1988 -- the original "Promo", not the "alblum" version (lol -- and Big ups if you know what I'm saying) and to ATCQ since 1990. This is a gem! That UMMAH-style production bangs (!!) and is unmistakable.
