Kalyanji Virji Shah was Kalyanji of Kalyanji-Anandji duo. He and his brother, Anandji Virji Shah have been famous Indian film musicians, and won the 1975 Filmfare Award for Best Music Director, for Kora Kagaz.

Along with the great Indivar Saab as the lyricist, the maestro duo Kalyanji-Anandji Saab made a formidable combination ! They offered innumerable masterpieces to the Hindustani Film World for which this wonderful musician duo will be remembered in the years to come ! Personally, I consider their composition from the film ' Safar ' -- " Zindagi Ka Safar Yeh Kaisa Safar" sung very soulfully by the great Kishoreda as my all time favourite !.Let us stand up and salute all of them for their monumental contributions to the World Of Music ! -- Amarendra Borah, Former Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Department, Govt Of Assam (India).

Let's not please forget other geniuses like: RD Burman Jatin Lalit Laxmikant Pyrelal Kkayam Anand Miland Naushad Nadeem Shrawan Anu Malik Bappi Lahir To name a few 👌.. Sadly, none of the above now actively perform or are gone. Lyrics by Anand Bakshi, Sameer etc gone 😥 Even playback singers like Asha, Lata, Alka, Rafi, Udit, Kishore, Kumar Sanu etc no longer participate 😥. That's why most newer Bollywood songs are a flop!

KA Duo songs are of high quality and ear-pleasing and they have had inclined towards Great Mukesh, Occasional songs with Great Mohammed Rafi sir and persisted with the maverick Great KK for the major part, even Mahendra kapoor captured chunk of Good songs. Lata-Asha Hemanth, Mannadey also had major share. Most critical part is that KA Songs follow good rhythm, easy to hum and enticing unlike the illustrious contemporaries L-P and R.D. Burman . I have been following these 3 MUSIC DIRECTORS, KA Songs are most impressive. KK KA Combination was lethal, be it live shows or music

Very correct observation. I would like to add that perhaps KA were the only music directors who utilised all the singers effectively and also gave chance to new singers.Siimlarly all the song writers of their time were utilised effectively and then variety of songs were just amazing all kind of songs like romantic, emotional, patriotic, bhajans, kawalis, westenised fast songs or funny songs. .
