Kim Joohyuk was a Korean actor who died in a car accident on October 30, 2017. In 2013, he joined a variety show called "1 Night 2 Days" which became a breakthrough in his career. Thanks to it, he was able to gain a friendly image and the nickname "Gutaengie hyung", which was given to him after he had given a wrong answer to an idiom. Kim Joohyuk left the programme after two years, but was able to establish a close relationship with both the cast and the staff. His acting career shortly began picking up speed as he was getting offered challenging roles that could showcase his abilities. Even after leaving "1 Night 2 Days", he still had a strong bond with the members and often mentioned the show, always feeling a sense of belonging to it.

I still cry up to this day. My father was like "why cry for someone who is not even your relative?" and I always tell him, "This man was the type of guy I wanted to marry someday. And it's heartbreaking to lose a talented actor with a warm heart." 😭

Since the beginning of season 3 i dont skip to watch it! This member always give me positive in life...the reason i smile when hard time strikes me ....the only variety show in korea that i adore....they all men but i love how they manage their friendship inside in out of the camera...i was depressed when he left the show....i always rewatch their past episode because of him....now he totally gone! Deep inside i am grieving! Tears flows everytime i think about it! ....but thats Life....we dont hold our life... Whenever you are may your soul rest in peace Kim joo hyuk!! I will surely miss your smile and lovable voice !!

The thing I like about this show is that it is so full of innocent fun and friendships. Not so much in the complicated mind but the simple heart. The members have to be very sporting and just be their childlike selves. It is indeed sad that Kim Joo Hyuk had to depart so suddenly and shockingly. People who care are those who are treasured the most. This show brings out the heart of the members and guests. That is why it is so popular. Not too much talking like so other shows. RIP Kim Joo Hyuk, you will always be a fine example of how a person should live, inside the compassionate heart and not the calculating mind. I am sad for Moon Guen Young who will always miss her wonderful and caring friend in Kim. She has a genuine good heart. The most caring Korean actress, in my opinion.

watching 2d1n since season 2 until now but season 3 is the best for me especially the members and the staff...... He’s a gentleman, considerate, kindhearted, funny & a wonderful man. Unfortunately he left the world too soon. He had so many great things coming but sadly he couldn’t make it. Thank you so much Gutaeng Oppa for the beautiful memories & the laughters 💕 Even though you’re not with us anymore but you will always be in our heart. When I first got into 2D1N, Joonyoung caught my eyes of course,but only half way through the first episode,Joohyuk captured my attention. As I kept watching the episodes,he really kept my attention. I never thought someone as old as my own dad would become adorable almost,in my eyes. He always made me laugh with his charm and almost innocence. I miss Joohyuk. I’ll always miss the way he laughed,the way he got shy, and the way he just loved the members. I’ll never forget you Joohyuk. Remember Each Member Forever!

I've been trying so hard not to watch videos related to him after reading the news of his passing. Then I stumbled upon this video, and all the tears that I've been trying to hold in somehow just came out and flow like a Han River. As funny as it sounds, I only know you through the screen, Gutaeng Hyung. But why does it feels weird, and saddens me to address you as The Late Kim Joo-hyuk. 😭 - God, my Lord, please take a good care of this poor soul up there.

I'm smiling and crying at the same time while watching every episode with KJH on it. Ever since I watched him on 2D1N S3 I began to love him even though they would always tease him of being the unlucky in the group. I was always rooting for him. He was a gentleman and an awesome person. I will never forget him. :(

2days & 1night is one of my stress reliever shows.. it makes me laugh out loud everytime I watches it. Shocks I know that i'll cry when I watch this but I cant really help stuborn self. (Watched it and cried)... you will not be forgotten. 'remember the members' forever.

I believed that time is the most valuable thing in the world. Watching this makes me sad but we can never turned back time and make another memories with him. I just hope that he always feel loved as he spent his days living withhis family, friends, colleagues and supporters.

First I watch this becoz JJY. But after I keep watching it Kim Joo Hyun . Make me smile . He is naturally funny guy. He always make he keep watching it. I learned a lot from this show. My heart is aching till now. Ive been a big fun of 2d1n eversince, not bcoz of its exceptional content but its coz of the familiarity, the feeling of being with your family every sunday. Losing Kim Joo Hyuk is like losing a family. Im sure the show will continue, but I know in the back of my mind there is this void that only him occupied. Im so sorry for those who are closest to you. They/we all lose a very compassionate and loving person. 💔😰

I keep on rembering the episode where they wrote each other future prediction 10 years from now when the news broke that he died. That episode is so funny yet touching. He wrote such a beautiful and touching stories for each member and for him, he wants to have a family of his own with 2 children. 😭😫 We really cant predict the future.😭😭😭 Love their genuine friendship in this show.
