Song: Alright - Michele Mundy f/Undray "Chris" Rogers

Here's a tribute to my friend, Mr. Henry Green of The Williams Brothers. He's a beautiful soul who loves God and loves people. He and The Williams Brothers are some of the most gifted artists in the world and have made such an impact in so many lives. I speak in present tense because love lives on. II Cor. 5:8 reminds us that "To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord."
In the video, I mixed some of my own casual pictures I snapped of Mr. Green along with his professional ones. When I find some more pictures, I'll add them to another post.
This song, "Alright" is dedicated to him and all whose loved ones have transitioned. It was one of my songs that Green submitted to the radio station on its first release. I'm so grateful to God for his life, legacy and friendship. His laughter made us feel alright even when he was having a down moment or when I'd try to cheer him up. He was always appreciative saying, "You just made my day," but it was the other way around to us. Every call is important, even if it's to say "Hey what ya doin? How are ya?" Hearing that person's voice makes all the difference in the world.
The Sunday when Mr. Green passed, I was hours away in church leading a song when a sudden heaviness hit me and our pastor after I sat down. I was weeping hard but didn't know he had passed. Days later, news of his passing hit me like a ton of bricks on my text, that I didn't read past the headline. Instead, I rushed to the phone to call Green, praying to God he would pick up. When no one else answered their call, I prayed and called my mom. My fears were calmed when she said that he's blessed to see Jesus and has no more pain, he knows we love him, we'll see get to see Jesus, Green and our other beloved saints again.
My condolences to the Green family and the Williams Brothers. I didn't know them like I know Green, and I've only met a few of them but love you all. Praying that God strengthens and comforts you all in Jesus' name, Amen.
