FINALLY, the video that took me 6 months to edit, and cost about a million tears (I still can't watch it without sobbing).
Thanks so much for all of the support that you all have given me. It truly means so much! Having never gone through something like this before it is so nice to know that there are people out there who have been through something similar, and who have my back.
I hope you enjoy :)

What a great video. Thank you. We said goodbye to our 16 year 8 month YO Scout July 16th. I am devastated and spent a week doing a video to tell her life ... and to remember and honor her. Getting ready and then saying goodbye has been one of most difficult things I have ever done. Thank you.

On Friday March 1, 2024 we had to say goodbye to our Cocker Spaniel Woody. He had real bad heartworms when we adopted him. We took months treating him as the fast method would have killed him according to his vet and cariologist. Eventually we did beat his heartworms but not before they wrecked his heart. He got better for a time but steadily got worse. At the end I was giving him an injection a day and a little over 20 pills a day. In that time he became my Velcro cocker and heart dog. My wife and I have 3 other rescues, a 3-legged Great Pyrenees, 17 year old Cocker and a terrier who showed up at our front door a year ago. They are all amazing in their own right. However, Woody, he was something else. Something different. Something....special. For 2 days now, I have balled like a baby. As I write this, it has been less than 48 hours since we said goodbye. This pain is the price we pay for the love we receive. And I would gladly pay it over and over and over.

ill never forget sitting in the vets office when she told my his cancer came back. i was so sad cause i thought we finally beat it back in 2019 until i saw a tumor while i was bathing him. Being 14 she told me the best thing i could do for him was to consider "end of life treatment" cause she didnt think, being as old as he was, that he could handle another round of cancer treatment and i knew i couldnt financially handle it either so i agreed for euthanasia and i dont think ive cried that hard since my mom died....i miss you buddy! i cant wait to see you again!

There is nothing more universal for humans as having a shared experience of losing a pet. Dogs, so aptly described as man’s best friend, all have the same love and meaning from their owners. A dog will never break your heart, the only time it will do so is when theirs stop beating. Rest In Peace.

I'm just now watching this video. I didn't know. I do understand however. When I was 23 and my 13 year old dog that I'd had since I was 12 died, I didn't want another dog. Then after going through the same heartbreak a couple more times, I felt that I just could not keep putting myself through the pain time after time. But when I see those beautiful eyes, that wet nose, and that wagging tail, I just can't help myself. They all need someone to love and care for them, just like we do. Actually, I believe they give us so much more than we give them. I'm glad Django had someone like you to help him live a happy life as I am convinced that all true dog lovers are beautiful people. Stay strong and keep moving forward young lady.

His life was was immeasurably better because of what you did for him. The fact you asked for a dog with issues makes you such a rare and hugely estimable person. The thought of what would happen to these dogs without people like you terrifies me. As people who take in rescue dogs with issues we know how hard it can be. On the other hand we also get to see how much of change for the better a life in a good, patient and loving home can make to these dogs. We encourage out of them all the love and affection every single mistreated dog has the potential to give. In doing so they become our best friends. When we lose them it breaks our hearts. But we do it over again because, as dog lovers, it is the single most worthwhile thing we can do. I promise you it will get easier, given time. Thank you for your videos, even if this one did make me cry!
@InRuffCompany
@InRuffCompany 4 жыл бұрын
You've got it exactly right! I think that it's so easy to think "this is too hard" and just give up, but that is so selfish when there are so many dogs that need our help. As difficult as it is when they're gone, it's worth it for the good that we can do, and all the happiness we have when they're alive. I love hearing of other people that love working with rescues. Thank you for that :) And thanks so much for your support. I'm finally getting to the point that I can move forward from it all!

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the pain 100%!! They are so much more than pets, they are family and that makes them loved ones too. There are no words that can be spoken or actions that can be taken to stop the pain, only time. We NEVER get “over it” as some people have said. We will never forget or get over their loss, we only learn to live with the pain and emptiness as time goes on. In time, you will smile when thinking of the fond memories and funny antics. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that death is NOT the end, it's the beginning for both human and animals!! I know this because the bible tells us ALL innocent creatures go to be with our creator God the Father upon death and that includes the animals! Only humans have sinned, all animals are innocent. Human's have a choice but not animals, they live and function on instinct. Just as people receive new bodies the animals do as well. Their bodies will be those that were before the fall of creation. When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit, everything fell from perfection. Birds even began singing in a different key! The breath of life that God breathed into Adam and Eve is the same breath of life that God breathed into the animals, except God breathed into the animals first! Genesis 2:19-25 - God created animals first and Adam named every living creature or beasts of the field! The animals were important to God. When God breathed a spirit into Adam’s body, Adam became nephesh: “living being” or “soul”. The same Hebrew word “nephesh” is used for both animals and people! Genesis 1:30; 7:15, 22 Genesis 2:7 that animals and man have the same breath of life! The bible even speaks of a child placing his/her hand into the hole of an Asp (deadly snake). The animals also spoke before the fall of creation! Remember the serpent spoke in the Garden of Eden Numbers 22:28 - The donkey spoke through God, the donkey’s tongue was loosened. The donkey could also see the angel, this shows intelligence. Are the animals closer to God than man? Yes, for they are totally innocent and know no sin! They also were a substitute until the birth of Jesus. In the book of Enoch, which is one of the lost books of the bible, Enoch speaks of the animals testifying against man at the great white throne judgment! Those who are born-again and have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will spend eternity with our loved ones who went first and that includes the animals! Romans 8:21: That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Luke 12:7 - God provides for animals just as for man. He knows when a sparrow falls, none are forgotten before God. Joel 1:20 - The animals cry unto God just as mankind does. Jesus loves the animals! Imagine our love on earth. Jesus has perfect love (agape love), after all he suffered and died an agonizing death on the cross for us. His love for the animals and his creation is perfect and as humans we cannot begin to understand. Proverbs 12:10 - The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but even the kindness of godless men is cruel”. Prayers for all those left behind. Animals aren’t created in God’s image nor are they equal to humans, however we are their caretakers. Nevertheless, there is biblical evidence animals have non-human souls. Nephesh and psyche are translated “soul” for mankind, but these are also used with animals. God made certain the animals were saved from the flood, and we know from scripture they most certainly are going to be on the refreshed, new earth. When Moses and the Hebrews left Egypt, their animals went too. We need to see that animals and man share something special - we are both living beings. Something one must remember is that Adam and the animals lived happily in the Garden before the fall and will again. Don't forget, when God cursed the 2 people, the animals and whole earth fell under that same curse! That is why some animals now have a “less than loving” nature. Once we’re enjoying the new earth, they will be as they were in the Garden of Eden! Proverbs 12:12 (NLT) - We are to be stewards of animals. We are caretakers, but they belong to God, not us. For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. Every bird of the mountains and all animals of the field belong to me Psalm 50:10-11, Psalm 148:10-13, Revelation 4:8-9; 5:13 Animals also praise God. We fail to zero in on scripture that says the “living creatures” that cry out “holy, holy, holy” are animals dwelling in God’s presence. Our Lord Jesus Christ in Revelation 21:5 proclaims “I am making all things new”. Revelation 5:13 - Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praised and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” Romans 8 - Creation itself will be free from its bondage, the whole creation has been groaning. Man sinned, animals did not but they were still brought down by human sin. That is a terrible truth of sin; it effects both the innocent and guilty. Romans 8:21 - Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. I am so thankful my mother and I were able to do this study, she died shortly after. Being human, we are selfish and want to keep our loved ones with us forever. As long as I/we are on earth, I will always miss her and wish she had not left us. I can't wish her back here out of heaven, that would be the ultimate act of selfishness!! I would not want her to suffer further because now, she is free of all her pain and is in paradise with Jesus (Luke 23:43). My mother was born-again and so am I, so I will see her again. Most of all we will spend eternity in heaven with Jesus. I look forward to that day.

We are all just expendable vehicles for a beautiful soul and spirit both humans and our fluff ball friends , the vehicle can only last for so long but the soul and the spirit live on in us and around us forever for sure , there is no question about that. He is still with you and always will be ❤ 🙏

I now how it feels I lost a dog named Max because he ran away and got ran over so we had to say our last goodbye to him on the way to the vet where he passed away naturally it was so tough to say goodbye because he was more then a dog he was a friend but also not a friend he was family.

I lost my dog 2 days ago On 1 st march💔💔💔😭😭😭. I AM DYING , IM CRYING , MY CHEST IS PAINING . I always used to see other's dog death videos and used to cry in fear of losing mine but then i used to console myself that my female dog is just 7 yrs old. She still has double life left and used to hugg her. But it was ALMIGHTY'S PLAN. I CAN'T QUESTION. And she left me at age of 7 and half. I'll die in this pain. Im unable to bare😭💔

Your beautiful smart empathic Django is your guarding angel now, in a world where empathic links between different species and generations are the true essence of divinity: this the world of Gaia and Pan, where dogs play a special role, they are the true servants of Pan, his pious pastors. it is beautifu that you adopted your Django. My Kim is my guarding angel sine 2009, and since then I have as companion another female german shepard, Chicca. greetings from Italy. Very beautiful and equilibrate video.

I lost my old black lab Jessie three weeks ago. It hurt like hell. Now I'm trying to decide which new dog to adopt.There's a 5 year old lab at a local rescue and an old rottweiler mix at the shelter. I cant take both. Its an agonizing decision.
