Joan played wealthy Elizabeth Collins Stoddard in the tv original Dark Shadows '66-71. Still beautiful in her late 50's.

Joan and Constance were very big stars in their day.. Sadly Barbara Bennett took her own life in the late fifties. RIP to the Sisters Bennett.

I didn't know that about Barbara. When I was about 13 or 14 years old I listened to her recording of That Old Black Magic many times. She sang it with Jim Jordan.

The best thing Joan did for her career was changed her hair color, looking at the earlier pictures she looks to much like Constance.

who were they ? What were they known for? I'm trying to find info about a vocal harmony group from the 1920 called the Bennet Sisters but I'm guessing this is not them.

Do you mean the Boswell Sisters. The Bennett Sisters were movie stars starting in the 20's Constance through 1965 and Joan into the 1980'.

No "Goodnight1954", there was a vocal harmony group called the Bennet or Bernnett (or possibly the Burnett ) Sisters -a vocal trio and a quartet in the 1930s (listed on various NY radio shows, and stations in the 1930s). A group of vocal harmony aficionados, me among them, are trying to find anything we can about them. This vocal group certainly had nothing to do with the Boswell Sisters. Your KZfaq, as has become apparent, is a tribute to noted actresses who share this common name. False alarm. But thanks anyhow.
