Humans aren’t “supposed” to be doing anything. We’re so adaptable for a reason. There is no one way to live right.
@JubioHDX
@JubioHDX Жыл бұрын
@@SnailHatan the point is humans as a whole (as in all the species in the genus homo) were eating nearly exclusively large animals for a couple million years before we first figured out agriculture 15,000 or so years ago and became physically able to sustain ourselves on majority plant matter. Hunting is natural to humans, chasing prey and taking them down with long range tools is what homo sapiens do. Sure you could argue a bear isnt "supposed" to eat a dead moose it finds too because it could choose not to and it could walk back up a mountain to eat berries instead, but the natural thing to do would be for it to sniff out and eat that animal. We became adaptable through our pursuit and cooking/eating of these animals. Everyting else you do in life today came later, as rinella so elegantly puts it in the openings of earlier episodes: "in each and every one of us there is a primal instinct to hunt and consume"

He doesn't listen because he doesn't like risk or change because he is focused on his veterinarian courses while playing division 2 football as a center. Im brought to my own thoughts and wonder.....does he have it right being so focused for later on. Or did I have it right living care free and now I have to focus as an adult.

That is some kind of beautiful scenery. You guys had a great hunt. And the food made in the old style of Mexican dishes is absolutely amazing. One wonders how long before dishes cooked the old way will be found in these rural areas. One day there will only be memories unless another generation decides to pick up where men such as this cook leave off. I wonder what this area of Mexico will be like 25 years from now?
