This film makes this trilogy easily one of the best trilogies to ever exist. It genuinely had no business being as good as it was. Utterly brilliant and emotional and powerful ending.

Yeah, if you watch the entire franchise it becomes very apparent how biblical it is. The scene in the beginning when he walks through after the battle and they all bow to him like he’s a prophet. Caesar is essentially an ape version of Moses - starts out rescued as a baby, raised with a privileged upbringing, is exiled (ie sent to the ape prison), becomes leader of his own people, frees them from bondage, establishes a new colony, overcomes internal strife and rebellion, brings them to the promised land but because he broke one of the commandments (by killing Winter) he is only allowed to bring them to promised land but not actually join them. Caesar’s story parallels Moses. Caesar is very much an ape variation of Moses or at heavily inspired by him.

honestly a beautiful trilogy and even though matt reeves isnt directing the next film, its looks like the proper, no pun intended, evolution of the series. Its probably gonna be epic.

Caesar is such a fantastic character and this is such an amazing trilogy. Legitimately top 5 trilogy all time for me. Looking forward to seeing Kingdom but no Caesar, Maurice and Rocket is a major bummer.

I did say it in the Rise of the Planet of the Apes reaction, but this trilogy was amazing and full story of Ceasar and the fall of humanity. I believe the next film from what I understand is the first of a new trilogy. I'm almost certain the new trilogy will end at the beginning being the original Planet of the Apes, but remade to finish the trilogy retelling the original Charlton Heston film. In the original Dr. Sais (still think I butchered that) did mention the first Ape to rise and revolt was Ceasar who stood up to a human and was the first Ape to speak yelling "NO!" to the humans. I feel like remaking the original with that line being put in the new film would be a great homage to this trilogy and the entire franchise as a whole. It should begin with a Rise flashback showing Cesar revolt and switch to the mission to Mars that was hinted on the nearby TV. Then the final film be the Mars crew coming back to Earth as the remake of Planet of the Apes.

I rarely go to cinema but I went to watch this movie and I cried the whole time way back home. Caesar's character is absolutely effing awesome. He was so wise and just and smart but he wasn't perfect. I don't think the next movies will be better than this, but I am still curious.

I love this modern trilogy because it created a completely original story within the existing property and delivered heartfelt and captivating themes to the audience. After seeing the recent trailer for Kingdom, I'm just gonna' say I am honestly quite nervous! I highly anticipated another installment however I've become a bit wary on whether or not the team for this one has the same quality of vision, originality or heart. I would love if they did! But it looks far more like a retread of the original than these movies that had their own unique premise. This trilogy is truly excellent.

Thinking about it, Caesar's story is so close to Moses from the Bible. He was saved from mass death ordered by the leader, brought to his new home in a basket, refuses to go home, rescues his people for captivity, goes to war for them, and then dies as they make it through the desert to the promised land.

I won't spoil anything for the past movies or future ones. What I will say is this series is very diffrent then the original ones. They were in the future, though having seen these movies, the big twist in the old ones won't be shocking really. The old ones are nice, but not as good as these honestly. The ones from the 90s, just terrible. As for the new movie coming out, its safe to watch the trailer now that you finished this. I'm mixed about the new one though. Without Ceaser, not sure who our main good guy will be. Or if we even will get as attached. I just hope they aren't making a forth one simply for money. The series ended well. To many series keep pumping out more and killing said series. Like how the new Matrix or the new Bill and Ted ruined the series.

Well...Jane my dear--one cannot help but know and observe, that you can be quite a bit more stylish than so many other female file reactors....that you dress much more fashionab;e than most any and all of the rest than the rest of those who do what you do on their various channels. Especially in quite a bit of leather...indicating not only that you have an excellent sense of style monetary investment in your quality and good taste in wardrobe! Well done my dear! Oh, and being that I am a dedicated crossdresser--and have been doing so for nearly 40 YEARS--I've a rather good "eye" for such things! And I too, enjoy stylish leather in my closets as well. Would be DEEE-LIGHTFUL to discuss films and fashion together with you some time! I'm sure we would enjoy it treeeee-mendously!! I hope that some time we shall! One way or another! The humans called all the apes working with them “donkey” as the apes were essentially work animals like oxen, horses, cattle etc. They were spared by humans but were basically kept as slaves, hence humans just referred to them as “donkey” because that really all they were to the humans. I remember hearing somewhere his name was supposed to be Red but I can’t swear to that 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love seeing other people with the same reaction, movie with the least predictable scenes, all us following Caesar’s entire life, and having to let go of him now. Amazing ending breakdown👌 (Rip Blue Eyes and Ceaser)
