Hey guys :) this video is definitely more raw and vulnerable than normal, but I wanted to open up a bit about some anxiety and mental health struggles I've been facing lately. I’m actually having a therapy session in a few minutes so this video came right on time. It’s exactly how I feel and sometimes we spend God knows how long crying and talking to Him about what’s going on and we need a reminder that better days are ahead of us and because of His love we’re never alone in battle. I literally needed this video so much,we need to normalize being human and having down days. I've been struggling with anxiety and just sadness alot lately and it's just nice to know I'm not alone in that feeling.

i love therapy so much. SO much. i've had three therapists in the last few years because i've had to move/they move, but i've learned so much from each of them. so many breakthroughs. so much understanding. so much growth. i'm so proud of you for going to therapy. i know it can be especially hard for christians to go to therapy because it may make them feel especially weak of faith or shameful but...therapy is truly a gift from God. so important. so proud of you. may you find growth and healing!

I have been dealing with the same thing for 20 years now. I call it a snowball effect..one thing that has helped me is prayers and Zoloft. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Thank you for sharing what you're going through! I had intrusive thoughts with my anxiety for a while last year, and it was so helpful for me to hear that other people go through the same thing :). It gets so much better!

Om gosh I have not been able to sleep for so long because all my friends r about to like go to college and military and I'm still in middle school and I feel as if I'm way to young to even have them as friends but the most terrifying thing is if they were to like never like hang out or talk to me and I feel like I'm seen as such a child but I feel like I grew up to fast I literally needed this so much thank u!!!!

i’m in the same boat. it’s not fun at all but can’t really get help cause i physically cannot go to therapy. i just don’t like the thought of telling someone all my problems

Sup ken. I’m proud to say that neither her nor I are miserable. Yes we are incredibly blessed to live in America and to have great things and she may be in a mental rut but nothing tops the power of the Gospel. If there is something I want our generation to be known for it’s that we can have a bad day but at the end of it God is glorified.

That does not mean that she has to be happy all the time. It doesn’t for you either. She is allowed to have negative feelings sometimes and obviously she is working to control them

mental illness knows no boundary of class, country, or culture. it's permeates us all, and you've no right to make sophia - or ANYONE for that matter - feel any added guilt or shame for what she cannot control. hope you find healing, man.
