A Day In The Life of A Nordic Slow Living Minimalist / In this video, I'll be showing you a glimpse of the daily life of someone who embraces a slow and simple living lifestyle.
The Nordic countries have long been known for their focus on minimalism and all-around sustainability, and this video will showcase how that philosophy can be applied to everyday life 😊
We'll begin our day with a simple and peaceful morning routine, focusing on mindfulness and getting the day started the right way. From there, we'll take a look at what a balanced work day looks like. You'll see how a minimalist approach can lead to a sense of calm and serenity in work life too.
Next, we'll explore the concept of slow living and how it can be incorporated into daily activities such as being present, doing what you love, and not rushing in daily tasks 🌿
Throughout the day, I'll also touch on the importance of self-care and self-reflection in the minimalist lifestyle. You'll see how setting aside time for meditation, journaling, exercising, and recovery can improve overall well-being and help to prioritize what truly matters in life.
I hope this video provides inspiration and practical tips for incorporating the principles of slow living and minimalism into your own life. Whether you're just starting on your simplifying journey or are a seasoned minimalist, there's always something to learn about living a more intentional and mindful life. Remember to focus on the present moment and savor the simple things 🌱

Love your videos. You have a calming presence. I’m a 52 year old female and my routine is similar, daily exercise, meditation, home cooked vegan meals and after dinner reserved for my relationship. Been in this way of life for over thirty years. It is a wonderful way to live.

It is so inspiring to see a young couple living each day with intention, attention, and lack of tension! Being loyal to your Self is usually misunderstood in our "You Are your work" culture that prizes quantity over quality in almost every area of life. The more hours you work, the better person you are thought to be. We confuse activity with productivity and financial "worth" with self-worth. Being truly present in your own life is what most people sacrifice in order to "succeed" in a system that uses you and discards you with equal indifference to the quality of your life. "Intentional living" is the key to an authentic life that you enjoy as you live it rather than postponing your real life until "retirement" that may not come at all. Bravo, Seve!

Couldn't have said it better than that Terri! 🙌🏼 It's hard to see many others focusing solely on the finance & career areas of their lives while neglecting physical & mental health, relationships, and contribution which are so crucial for us. Luckily we have now a place like KZfaq where you can both share and get exposed to different realities so you have then better awareness and understanding to make decisions that fit you the best. Thanks for the excellent comment! 🥰

@@SunnyKindJourney I showed this to my husband and asked him what is one thing that spoke to him. He chose to create a schedule for himself so that he doesn't feel overwhelmed. I'm choosing to work without watching TV at the same time.

Do you eat stuffed cabage and grape leaves? In Romania it is a tradition to eat it especially in the winter time, it helps your body a lot because it has nutrients to make your body work better! Mostly the cabage and grape leaves are kept in a salty brine just like sauerkraut, and the stuffing is made with wild mishrooms (honey mushrooms are the best for this, but any would work), besides this you can add textured soy or soy curls for better taste and texture, the rest is pretty basic for cabage rolls like rice, onions, tomato paste or juice, hot peper, and extra you can add fresh parsley and dill. If you want to do this it is called "sarmale de post". They are the best food you will ever have in winter time!

I haven't tried that yet BUT what a dream would be to grow these myself and then eat them! Thanks Matanie 😉

I think, the past few years, the pandemic, and health have caused me to live slower to some extent. I go on Duolingo and use other resources to learn languages. Academics is still a priority but not as big like before. For example, taking less courses and not running myself into the ground and accepting I don't need to get perfect on every little thing. I do like working ahead so, I have more down time close to the end of the semester in normal circumstances but I still think I need to schedule more days off instead of just one more thing.

Yeah, need to keep enjoying the process - especially in language-learning or otherwise you stop learning. I have noticed that a couple of times

Dont know why but i also like to eat siting on the carpet. Enjoying small things every day is sooo calming, mind is slowing down and you stop chasing other rats in race that has no end. Too many people 'fast forward' their lives these days, always on the run, never happy...

Hey man, really interesting insight into how simple life looks like. Looks very appealing to me to be honest and might start implementing some of your recommendations soon into my life hopefully. I'm just wondering. I heard that there is compulsory military service in Finland and since you look like such a chill guy, I'm curious how you dealt with the crazy military environment? Must have been very exhausting and so much different from your current lifestyle. I don't mean it in a bad way!! For example I cannot imagine myself going through military training at all.

Thanks for the comment, Tom! 🙌 And great thoughts. I'm now 26 and was in the military aged 18-19 so I was a completely different person back then with very different values. Therefore it was actually not that hard for me but yeah would find it so hard if now I had to go through that 😄

( I hope you understand Finnish…?) Moiii! Kiitos! Ihanaa nähdä tällaisia videoita Suomesta. Tätä on kaivattu❤
