Actually, one mangaka is basically both of that. Daisuke Chida, the man who created both sweet as hell with "Mako-san wa Shindemo Jiritsu Shinai" and psychotic as hell "Heroine wa Zetsubou shimashita." then an one combined both sweetness and poison with "Ijousha no Ai".

When I read the one shot, I immediately got hooked on the manga and satisfyingly caught up to it, the only unsatisfying thing is having to wait for a new chapter but I know the hard work the author is trying to put up and I appreciate it. I really wish for an adaptation for this manga.

I stopped reading this when it was still at 75 ch since i couldnt handle the diabetes and having to wait 2 weeks sometimes for an update, i continued it now and itss very heart wrenching for me especially for hina since she is someone i rooted for but chinatsu is still good but dammnn

I've been craving an anime for this series since the one shot first dropped. And now, the manga has enough chapters for it, so hopefully we get one soon. It's so underrated. The anime is going to explode into mainstream popularity once it finally comes. Also, man, Blue Box's immediate success upon debut reminds me of RuriDragon. I'm still dying for that series to come back. Plz be ok Shindo-sensei.

The art in this manga is truly breathtaking. Further, I love how their relationship is founded. It’s not only realistic that he gets a crush on someone who motivates him, but she also pushes him to be better and get better. However, it’s not one sided. It’s really nice to see them both pushing each other forward. Remember everyone, push your partner to grow and grow along with them.

I love that this manga is getting so much love now, i started reading it on a whim when about 6 chapters were out (I use viz to read so after first 6 some start to get locked) and i have been reading it ever since since i love how these characters act and their motivation, as well as how they handle certain situations, glad to see more people talking about it

My recommendations: Touch, Cross Game, H2, Rough. Yep all of them are by author Adachi. Sports manga(s) by Adachi have better romance than actual romance manga(s).

Touch was a good one holy moly. I couldn't finish it, though. Broke my heart somewhere in the middle. And on that point about romance mangas having worse romance, it's so fucking true lol. I was trying to get into My Happy Marriage and god, it's so bad. Shoujo stories are actually just awful. It's basically just, "oh no he's hot so I fell in love". Completely shafts the childhood friend that was always there for her, who tried to confess and she goes "what are you talking about?" Lol man. It's so awful. Like she didn't even give him a chance to shoot his shot. Don't need his sorry ass anymore since she's got mean hot guy as her prince charming. This is the type of shit girls enjoy in romance stories. It's actually delusional trash. l Meanwhile, sports manga out here breaking my heart to the point I can't even finish them despite being one of my favorite stories mangas out there... and I didn't even like baseball at the time.

I've been reading this when it was just a oneshot and it's such a cute story about a boy who loves sports in love with his senpai who also loves sports. It's awesome to see that it has over 100 chapters now.

I like this manga! It gave me motivation to continue practicing my sport. Everyone has big dreams, and I can see a lot of myself in Chinatsu. I was able to learn of this manga because I happened to watch your shorts video about Blue Box!

After reading and loving "A fragrant flower blooms with dignity" bcs of your vid. I just read the title of this vid and decided to just trust you and read it without watching this vid first going in completely blind. I'm now at the recent chapter and loved every second of it. Im caught up on the manga, and I can say that its very wholesome and the development of the romance was done really well. The sports part also isnt just a gimmick to make the series seem unique, as it shows the struggles of each of the characters in their resepective sports. I hope this gets a good anime adaptation sometime in the future because it deserves it.

The 100+ chapters of build up that lead to the past few chapters are really worth the wait. The only thing we are missing is the anime adaptation. Also waiting for a video about Akane-banashi, it’s a shounen manga about rakugo( Japanese traditional way of storytelling)

I first started reading Blue box a few months ago, when the manga premiered in my country. It got some recommendations, so i decided to give it a try (i was also baited by the special box they sold it with, lol), and i was incredibly surprised how much i liked it. it's a very simple story, about sports and school romance, but it has such a nice feel to it: very likeable characters, relatable struggles, interesting developments, a good balance between both sports and private goals of the protags, simple and cozy artstyle. it's one of the most charming stories i've read in a while, and i'm sure it won't be long before it gets adapted into an anime. I definitely recommend it

this is one of great great romance series i've ever seen.. sport-romance genre which we don't have much, guilty pleasure sudden-live together trope (not live alone but he got whole family with him), beautiful art, each characters are GREAT, the story build up between sport and romance that perfectly balanced, absolutely satisfying to read..

Started with the oneshot and this got a manga been a fan since chapter 1 , blue box's art style and the dialogue gives me some kind of fluffy and really heartwarming vibes, its just too cozy to read. Team chiinatsu !!

Been a huge fan of this manga since around chapter 40 of its premier, and it has become one of if not my favourite manga, yea I love gory shonen battle types, but this manga just got something different inside of me, def recommend to give this a read and o my days if it got an anime adaption that would be so sick

I stumbled upon this by pure chance from a random video who mentioned this manga in like one off sentence, but I binged through the whole thing in a day and this is an amazing manga and by far the best recommendation you can give someone for just a simple, wholesome high school romance manga without significant "manga BS" and just being pretty realistic

theres a voiceover for the first few chapters from Jump’s official channel w taiki n chinatsu having VAs. i’d prefer chi-senpai’s voice there rather than hanazawa kana if they got an anime (not hating on kana, shes the goat lmao)

I've recently picked up the first two volumes on a whim, and it's fantastic, I love the dynamic and really hope they get together before the Mangas end, I'd love to see them do a clannad after story into adulthood, I feel like a lot of manga/anime always stop at the kiss and never explore the relationship
