Of course they are going to overstay thier welcome and go through your personal stuff. People are incredibly entitled. The Realtors can take care of that stuff. They can throw in a clause saying "if you want anything, we will leave it all and you can dispose of what you dont want." Otherwise just chuck it all and be done with it. Your generosity just gave you unneeded extra work for a guy that you owe nothing to.

#NeverMove I know the 1-car woes all too well, we had two cars go within a 3 months of each other and so we did get one gently used car but we really can't afford another until it gets payed off (and we still have to think about insurance). So I go to the office a few days a week, my wife sometimes drives me in so she can have the car, I work from home a couple of days a week, etc. It works, but not without some heavy coordination. I can greatly feel your stress regarding the house and the brother buyer/relator relationship does concern me, so be very careful with that. But as others have said, keep in the mind the ultimate goal of getting to Florida and enjoying your new life. Everything else is just obstacles. (I'm horrible with stress too though). It's a shame about those shelves, if I was anywhere near you, I would take them in a heartbeat (my wife wants a bookshelf for downstairs)

am spring cleaning my house getting rid of a LOT of clutter and crap dont use any more i have just filled a 17 yard dumpster and i still have stuff to get rid of. I feel your pain. I know its expensive but might be worth it just get the big Uhaul and do it all in one trip down to FL
