Great video Chris, only brand that trademarked the word Pilot on their dial, no other brand can do it. It's a great watch, incredibly versatile, and a strap monster.

This is a very attractive Pilot's watch. Only few in the genre I'd consider likewise, among them the Oris big crown. The lug to lig is long. Likely just rules this out for comfort as my wrist is smaller than yours. The whole thing is far more interesting to look at than the typical white on black (often German) classical pilot's watches. I'm not entirely sure that I find the "Pilot" put on the dial like that equally attractive. Funny thing is, that no, I woudk not have thought of Zenuth for pilot watches, but then I rarely think or pilot watches. When I do think of Zenith I think of the dresse Elites and defiant Defies far sooner than chronographs or El Primero. I think it all depends on your previous interests in a brand.

chris does ZENITH still have the fastest chrono? hertz/beetrate?

I believe they’re still number 1 when it comes to chronograph’s; there are other brands that have a high beat one off’s or limited run watches (like seiko for example) but only zenith have consistent production lines & models.

I like the watch but feel the case is a bit unrefined, slab sided with unnecessarily thick lugs. The dial and hands are right up my alley though.

I love this watch. it could be underrated but 6k (at least in Europe) for a simple 3 hands watch, with a rubber strap it seems overpriced. For a 3 hands watch Grand Seiko offers a much better value for money in my opinion.
