Doing a great job, young lady. Noticed when using grinder that your hair is hanging down. You should tie it up. If it gets caught in grinder, it'll pull out your hair in a split second. Keep up the good work.

So much coming together this week! I remember being able to work as hard as you do (but not the joy you obviously get out of it; wow!). I'm older and pretty beat-up now, but I can still look around our home and see all that I've done in the past couple of decades. And I'm still at it, just much more slowly. Never stop because, why should you? We've had a very strange Spring here in Wisconsin, USA, too. Alternating between rain, wind, hot, cold, repeat. But our leaves have come out over the past couple of weeks, the birds are nesting, and we just planted five new trees.

Your attitude is great. I am so glad you are learning new skills too. The river is beautiful. I'm thinking you can make a pool in your yard. Just make it with bricks! Well, cement blocks would be better. But you have that nice beach, so you can just go there and swim. It is such a lot of work to fix up the old structures. You are doing a great job of it. Be well and keep motivated.

Good morning. The membrane would probably be better to have installed it on the rick walls prior yo putting up the interior brick. Just something to think about as you continue building
@apveening
@apveening 17 күн бұрын
I was about to write the same thing. Even if the membrane has to be attached to the interior brick wall at the top, it would have been a lot easier to first temporarily hang it from the ceiling close to the outer wall. While I am at it, I would recommend closing those gaps between the outer wall and the brick wall at the open ends, leaving some (enough) ventilations slots as you don't want critters making their home in between the walls.

You make nice and interesting videos. But I'm confused. How will the membrane help, when it's just hanging like a shower curtain? I can't understand how it will help for the moist. If the venting isn't good enough, the moist will collect at the floor. So wouldn't the moist content in the air be pretty similar on both sides of the curtain? Also I see you use concrete on the wall. Was the house originally built with concrete between the stones, of was lime mortar the original building material? I ask, because problems can occure later due to wrong choice of materials beeing used when repairing old stone walls.
