Some raw footage, and timelapse of some Hinsdale County, Colorado locations 2024. - North Clear Creek Falls - and - The Slumgullion Earthflow... a flow of rock, earth and water saturation. The earthflow currently flows at a rate of around 20 feet per year (1.6 feet per month). The flow has been flowing almost uninterrupted for over 700 years (with a slight pause 300 years ago). It is one of the planet Earth's best examples of a process called "mass wasting". The trees try to grow on this ever moving and writhing landscape and so they grow into bent or wiggly shapes as they slowly surf down the mountain. The flow is still being "fed" by water and the degrading "headwall" at the top.
