This video was made during my visit to Puspanjali Rose Nursery, Jakpur, West Bengal, India in 2019. Puspanjali Nursery is the Asia's largest rose nursery with more than 3000 different varieties of roses. Owners of this nursery are Mr. Ashok Kumar Maity & Mr. Pranabir Maity. They are also one of the leading producers and suppliers of roses, fruit plants, various ornamental and flower plants in all over India. You can purchase the plants from them via online, pan india shipping/courier is available. The average price per rose plant is approx. Rs. 30-50.

Can we grow roseplant in the balcony?I stay in a flat. Sunlight is not direct and not much

Rose plant needs lots of sunlight and open space for proper airflow, otherwise there will be severe pest attack on the plant. You can grow them in balcony but after few weeks they will start to die gradually and you can't get desirable flowering from your plant. So my advice go for other easy growing flowering plants.

I am texting from Hyderabad I paid for plants I got plants in July after that I asked for the next set of plants I paid money online nursery people said they will send my request but since one month I am trying no body is responding to my calls what is happening so I requested all costumer s to confirm first then only send money seeing this. I hope I will get some response

Yes, that's true. We should first confirm with them, then pay the money. Also in recent times I've heard that there are some quality issues with the plants they sent. Hope Puspanjali will gain their trust again very soon!

I per my knowledge, there are mainly two puspanjali nurseries - puspanjali Asok and puspanjali Pranabir, they are brothers. I heard that one of their sisters have also opened a rose nursery nearby, but the name is different.

Recently many people complained about the poor condition of the plants they received. So before buying it's advised to confirm with the seller about the quality. But considering the price I think it's worth of trying.

Yes, that's a genuine concern! By the time those reach you they don't look that healthy. There is a possibility that only 50% plants will survive. It's always better to visit there and purchase, believe me you will be amazed to see their collection!

Ideally, you should always choose small plant when it comes to roses. Because you know roses are very sensitive to the environment they grow at, they need time to adjust in that new environment and it's better if you do so in their very young ages. And also it's easier for you to give the plant desired shape which you want. Never buy a rose plant which is more than 4 months old.
