The Hospital de Bonecas in Lisbon, Portugal, has got a pretty sweet operation, complete with a reception area, a plastic surgery room and a morgue. And no matter what your ailment is-broken leg, missing eye, cracked skull-head doctor Manuela Cutileiro has got you covered. But instead of fixing flesh and bones, Hospital de Bonecas lovingly repairs and restores dolls and toys. Cutileiro’s family has been in the business of mending childhood memories since 1830.

Everybody thinks this is creepy, but all I can think of is how sad this is. The people who came are mostly the older generations. I'm not sure kids today would still play with these kind of dolls... Hope their business pass through another generation.

Lots of little girls still play with baby dolls. Less of the classic dolls, but the babies are still popular. And the video showed her repairing a few of those.

I don't think their is an action figure hospital since most (alot) of action figures are made of vinyls or hard plastic which is harder to break, dolls today are made of the same vinyl/hard plastic but back then every doll was porcalein, so I guess they kinda deserve a hospital?

i was there when I was in Lisboa last week and it was so cool and not really that creepy. would recommend visiting that as it also is a doll museum and they give you a tour with a nice guide

In Manchedter where i am from there used to be dolls hospital a long time ago and people used to take their dolls snd bears there and the staff wrre all dressed up as nurses and before the customers left the staff put the dolls/ bears in hospital beds on the ward and promised to look after the patients. Anyway a week later the owners would collect fully recovered patient from the dolls hospital. 💕💕💕🤩

When she said they get a lot of religious items I realized that Portugal is a very Catholic country with an amazing history that in May 1917 in Fatima when the Virgin Mary appeared to 3 shepherd children. She appeared to the children 6 times in 6 months. The miracle of the sun happened in Fatima Portugal on October 13, 1917 and at least 70,000 people there witnessed it. There are a lot of books on it and movies. Portugal consecrated the country to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I remember two 'Twilight Zone' episodes, from the original series, that involved dolls. One story was eerie, and the other one was nerve wracking with an ironic twist at the end that left me feeling joyful.

A third of me is touched that someone would take their time.tonrestore dolls, a third of me is a little scared of how this is talked about like it was a real hospital, but for plastic persons. But the last third is tempted to show this to a friend of mine who has a phobia of this kind of thing.
