Today was my first day of spring break. My original filming plans for today didn't work out, so I was kinda bummed. I went to go grab some lunch at Burger King, and then was going to head home. But for some reason, I felt compelled to swing by the recycling center first. When I got there, the guy working the front area remembered me from when me and Shane came and filmed here a couple years ago. Unfortunately, I had just missed the Dempster Recycle One's dumping their final load of the day, but the workers were kind enough to let me hang out for the afternoon and film a mobile document shredding truck unloading, a Waste Management front-loader unloading newspaper and magazines collected from public drop boxes, as well as some of the equipment around the recycle center. Tomorrow I will be filming a Dempster Recycle One doing commercial recycling, and the guys at the recycle center are letting me come back tomorrow to film the Dempsters unloading too!
