And he is Saint Thyagaraju if he sings a Thyagaraja kirtana passing on the devotion to the audience with which Sri Thyagayya addressed Lord Rama! And with perfect Sanskrit uchcharana of Sri Shyama Shastri rachanas etc. Can there be an equal to Dr. B M?U

​@@sathviksaravan3974 Balamuralikrishna spent a lifetime telling us to delve deeper into the meaning of music. Just because they share swara sthanas, does not imply they are the same ragam. The bhavam and gamakas are completely different.

Probably he meant to say, he knows so little of music that knows nothing about music. Music knows him to keep him bound to it's clutches and won't leave him alone 😁

That's the sign of a genius!! Genius' often don't know how they are doing what they are doing though ordinary people can't easily do them. When BMK starts singing a raaga, it's as though he "locks"on to that Raaga. Other singers when they sing a raaga alaapana it's as though they are thinking and singing, but BMK just sings and not one note goes out of place. BMK has admitted that except for the 12 years he spent under his Guru, Ramakrishnayya Pantulu, he has never practised music. BMK just comes to the stage and then decides what songs he is going to sing. It's not easy for accompanying artists. Singers like Yesudas have a fixed accompanying team and they practise for hours before every concert. You can say this of almost every other singer except BMK. That's why he says he doesn't know music (doesn't know how he is able to sing with such ease), but music seems to know him and some force makes him sing!!! Recently, there's a young boy, 10 years old, from Kerala named Rituraj, who has become very popular for the beautiful way he sings, yet when asked how he is able to deliver even songs that are difficult for adults to reproduce with such ease he simply says "I don't know"!!! Of course, he is singing only film songs!!
