Hasn't been a train to Dookie since 2007! I actually went on a steam train out to Cosgrove back in 1999 - i remember the train stopping in the middle of nowhere before the train turned back!!

Love this kind of stuff and used to take some photos and just walk around like some others have done and commented on this Sight and its Nostalgia and the Wondering of how things were when operating. Often sat until the Sun Going down time and get some more pictures. Thanks Very Much, Narration and Videography is Just Perfect for Sustaining viewers with facts not fictions and shows us in your Video that their are so many forgotten Rail Trails along with Track still laid but could be used once again in these areas who they were associated with and this fact some T.L.C and common sense to bring it onto mail line systems would be s great way to show as mentioned the other side of Railways and that means going off the beaten track, finding these locations and enduring lustre for want of a better word here but its all a jigsaw puzzle around Australias older and newer country and even some City still come back into service

I walked around Cosgrove and Dookie recently and it really would make sense to seriously investigate the reopening of this line purely for grain. This is an awesome video. Thanks 🙏

My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it and I agree. I would like to see it used for grain transport again. 👍😊

Wow! That's quite a departure from your Driver's View videos. There's no end of these abandoned rail lines in Victoria, and a number of people seem to enjoy doing retrospectives. The line from Carlsruhe to Trentham [and of course onwards to Daylesford] is quite a fun one, if you're looking for another day out in the country.
@driver667 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I was thinking of doing the Daylesford line. I am a volunteer with Daylesford and walked the line years ago. Another trip to video it might be in order 🙂👍

@driver66711 ай бұрын
@@JacobGrimaR761 yes it would. Services are currently suspended. Hopefully it reopens and I can film it. In the meantime it would be good for a walk around 👍😊

I'm pretty sure the house next to Pine Lodge is an old DR and 6-7 years ago a Nathalia company was leasing the silos which I loaded from a number of times.
@driver66711 ай бұрын
The silos seem to show no signs of use lately and the old DR could do with a little work being done to it. 👍😀

Thanks for your time and is the Wheat Grain Mill still active or discontinue...
@driver667 Жыл бұрын
The Grain Corp silos are still active and receiving grain but I don't know of any mill in dookie. 👍😊
