Jakhama Village Is About 15km Away From Kohima, The Capital Town Of The State Of Nagaland. To Reach Jakhama, One Can Either Fly To Imphal And Take The Highway 29 To Kohima To Reach Jakhama. Train And Plane Are Also Connected To Dimapur, The Gateway To Nagaland. Catch The Local Bus Or A Taxi Service Reach Straight To Jakhama Village, Where Many Homestays And Campsites Are Available.

I still remember zakhama village.during the years 1985&86 I worked as a maths teacher in Loyola school. Father Charles and Father Jerry were the principal. Brother Arul was there during that time. Still remember the students and staff. Very sweet memories

Thank you Vincent Belho for this wonderful video...That was my grandfather singing and he is ecstatic watching this video. I have already played twice for him...he still wants to watch more. Recently my grandmother(10:26-10:35 can be seen talking to you) passed away and my grandfather has been feeling a little down..but seeing this video has definitely uplifted his mood and spirit. My dad is from Jakhama and my mom is a Mizo and I am really proud of my village Jakhama and the people who are very kind and hospitable. I love going home to Jakhama and be with my cousin's,aunts and uncles who takes such care of us. Missing the village life so much. Matter of fact, I've only been to St Joseph and not beyond that, but the mountain backdrop (presumably the Japfu range) is captivating. You've also captured the natural environment of the village which I like. Another Kudos.
