Yes, this was filmed in July! The last day of the Senior Open Championship and I take a walk from the Porthcawl seafront to the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club.
This was the third time the Senior Open has been held at the Royal Porthcawl
A wet and very windy walk along the Wales Coast Path to the gold club. I was actually surprised to find the last day of the senior open was going ahead.
Hats off to the golfers and the golf fans for enduring the Welsh summer weather!

I was at the golf 9:42 on the Thursday when it was also pretty miserable but calm compared to the weather on Sunday when you filmed this. At least the boardwalk gives you a free view of some of the holes along the sea shore. It was a credit to all of the green keepers at the course that ensured the course remained playable. I was a member at Royal Porthcawl in the late 70s and it was always windy to some extent.

Yes, it is windy but usually this bad in the winter

Mad mad weather Marcus isn’t the golf ball going to go off course,inclement to say the least my dear fellow,you brave the storm so we can watch this in our warm dry mansions and you have a little draft shelter thank goodness we are kept cool by this weather and your not abroad baking folks go to porthcawl and holiday

I've done your chip shop tours, your Porthcawl walks & your 2 cruises.. I watch the pier camera live every single day.. Any idea WHY the camera is not on youtube right now?
