She was and still is such a well spoken person! And she seems very humble and kind in real life, not just as her character in this movie, which by the way is one of my favorites :)

I completely agree! I love Amanda Leigh. I think she is a genuine person and beautiful inside out. I wish the right man will come to love and care for her.

A Walk to Remember helped me remember who I wanted to be when I was a young girl about the age of 9; When I first saw the film at that age, I wanted a very wholesome, happy, loving life. In my teen years, I truly lost sight of this as I was influenced more so by peers and other films or music than by my family and by the church. After watching the film again at the age of 22, I can now see how much closer I have gotten to being who I dreamed of being before my vision was influenced by whatever every other person wanted for themselves, namely 50 cent, Eminem, and others that I listened to who shaped my priorities in a manner that was detrimental to my true self. It might sound corny, but I am so glad this film was created. It really reminds me of how life can be, which is hard to see living in a city where people's visions are confused by wanting more money more work more drinking partying, etc. I really enjoyed the film and I was inspired by the loving relationship that Jamie felt with her religion as well as with Landon. Thank you to the directors and the actors who really put their energy into making this a respectable and wholesome tribute to humanity and humility.

This was the most memorable movie for me in 2001 & I hope I could watch this again on HBO. Though I had'nt read the book version of this unlike Dear John,I still cherish this movie & its soundtrack. Simply the best. Many Filipinos watched this when it was shown here in the Phils. It was a box office hit. Dec 21,2020

this movie is so sad, i wanna watch it but i cry to where i can’t breathe either. i will FOREVER love this movie. Shane West and Mandy Moore we’re perfect for this movie, still so cute that they actually had a thing for each other during this movie. Just get together already. ❤️❤️❤️🥺
@kimberlytudela94598 жыл бұрын
I think this is sad movie because they ACTED so in love in the movie. It just shows how much talent they have just to pull off being in love with each other unless they REALLY are in love :) idk ( I don't know ) if they really are.😂😂❤️❤️❤️

In a recent interview, Mandy revealed that a part of her fell in love with Shane while filming this movie! :) Too bad they never dated in real life. "Shane was so cool," Moore tells EW in the interview, which commemorates the 15-year anniversary of A Walk to Remember. "Everything about him-the way he dressed, the little cigarettes that he smoked, and the music he listened to. He was the character to me, and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him. I don’t know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, it was my first experience doing anything like this, and I was a 16-year-old, impressionable girl. I was just so caught up in the moment and the experience." To be honest, this sounds more like infatuation than love. However, who can tell the difference at 16 years old? Either way, this tidbit is so darn cute and explains why Moore and West were magnetic in the film.

michiisubs somebody told shane that recently and he said they both kind of fell in love with each other as people and would hold hands on set and stuff. It wasn’t 💯 fake. ;)

Oddly enough Mariah's glitter and Britney's crossroads flopped. They may be more successful than Mandy in the music world but in the acting world Mandy just beat the two with just one movie. Such a great actress and singer. So down to earth as well. Beautiful inside and out.

While A Walk to Remember is by far the more superior movie out of these three, Crossroads wasn't a flop. It was panned by critics, yes, but it was a box office success.

Bittersweet film. I rewatch every few years & it never surprises to fail me with the amount of emotion this film gives out. I've seen alot of poor critics on the film, but did they forget this is a film & not a fixated alternative to reality. The concept & message with musical composure was beautiful
