I wouldn't say the COVID situation in the US has gone bad to worse, but it is different. While the infection rate has been climbing - a lot - the critically ill and death rates have flat-lined, and in some places gone down. Once the medical community figured out that instead of trying to treat COVID, they are treating the weakened systems that cause death and critical illness: Heart disease, respiratory issues, etc. Stuff they are good at, been doing for decades, and is relatively inexpensive.

Never been to GC but looks a nice hotel Matt. I live over on Fuerteventura and have to agree, we were subject to an incredibly strict lockdown on the islands which was completely disproportionate to the Covid cases here but had to follow the Spanish state of alarm. 0 deaths on Fuerteventura and very few cases. Great to see tourism returning, let’s hope we can all get back to Vegas soon!

What a delightful surprise to see your vlog today. So glad you guys were able to get away from home and relax. Really hope your able to come back to Vegas this summer, but if not, please post again. We usually visit Reno, Nevada about 5 times a year (about a 5 1/2 hour drive from our home in Oregon.). but because of the virus we haven't been back since February. Really miss going and being able to forget about the routine things at home. Again Matt, thanks so much for sharing your holiday.

It´s a fine hotel now. But before the huge renovation, this hotel had a massive problem with cockroaches.

Great vid as usual Matt. We’ve had 6 hols cancelled and at first we were pleased but now feeling less anxious and want to get away . This helps ( apart from the flight bit!) Hope you get to Vegas this year .

Although I am sure that you miss Vegas and trust me we miss your Vegas Vlogs, from what I hear (haven't been back yet) it is not the same Vegas that we all love and desire. Bars are closed, drink service is scarce (might want to sneak in your own), buffets for the most are closed, some hotels are closed Mon-Thur and will relocate you if you are booked there and there is little or no entertainment. I also read that you have to make pool or restaurant reservations before you leave for the holiday to ensure that you can enjoy both. SMH Glad to see you got to go on holiday. My employeer mandated a 14 day quarantein from the day you come back before returning to work if you vacay in a "hot spo
