I've heard that music majors at Cal study more 'general' music, that it is common for them to be double-majoring something else!

That is true! I’ve heard only relatively few or solely music majors.

As a 13 yo girl who played violin I think I would love to do the music major for collage it sound like the one I’m most intersected in and it would be very fun yes hard but very fun to me
