Just a sometimes-thriving/sometimes-dying piano DMA student going through her week at USC Thornton School of Music.
Being a student at 26 is weird and I will never get over this liminal space of being an adult with bills but also homework.
(PS this started as a day in the life but I scrapped that entire video idea because each day breaks down into about 70% practicing and is the most unbelievably boring thing you could ever imagine)

Thank you so much for uploading this! I've got into the Piano DMA course for Fall 2023 entry and am probably going to take the offer so it's really great to get an idea of what it looks like:) P.S. Loved the little clips of the Mussorgsky - I played exactly those extracts in my DMA audition 🤣

I love your vlog! This is actually the video I wanted to make but I quit for now till I buy a new camera. I tried it with my phone and it couldn't handle the data 😂 if our teacher knows that you slept at 2:30 AM 🤦‍♀️LOL LOVE YOU THIS IS AWESOME VIDEO!!

If you don’t mind me asking, who do you study with? And how is the environment for mental health?

I study with Antoinette Perry! And I think any grad program will be hard on mental health no matter what but the professors I’ve had so far have all been incredibly kind and open about that whenever I’ve needed 💕

Hey Tancy... I am from India and i am looking forward to pursue some music production course from America and i got your video in this list.... Wishing you luck... Can you please help me out by just letting me know the fee structure and whole criteria if a study visa student can do both working for part time earning there and having classes for music production ....
