At the time when Blancpain was busy developing the first true dive watch - the Fifty Fathoms came before the Submariner, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise - triple calendars with moonphases were all the rage. In the 1950s, it seemed liked every company had one in their portfolio, including Rolex. Today, you could say the opposite is true. Dive watches are everywhere while Blancpain is one of a smaller group of manufactures with a complete calendar and moonphase still in its line-up. It's been a topsy-turvy 60 years and a lot has happened.

A Blancpain is - like a Brequet - a tell tale sign of a true watch guy (or girl).

Placing correctors on the lugs is such a novel way to adjust a watch complication.

Just a suggestion for future videos, you should take the watch around the office as ask people what they think of the watch

Readability cannot be sacrificed to aesthetics. Nothing worse than a watch you have to stare at for seconds on end to simply tell the time.

The finish on the movement is really Vacheron level if not better...

Andy Reiter Blancpain is one of the best at engraving and finished, that’s a fact.

I love blancpain .. but I can't agree look at this www.passions.com.sg/v2/files/imagecache/watermark/files/2543-BPM.jpg and this look at this deployant.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/vc-overseas-ss-white-back.jpg of course both of these are not Lange .. but still in my opinion vacheron is ahead .. do u know btw leman was discontinued ?@@nameunko

when I see the date not fitting the dial color composition - I click next. the BP should really start working on their movement and their other parts of the watch ... like its not acceptable that the inner disc come all in white... for a rich Russian it maybe does not matter but for a watch collector that knows this is a serious defect, and a prove that the movement is outsourced its simply no go.
