My grandfather lived in that area for many years..my father took me to visit him on 2 occasions..he moved there in 1945 ...I am so grateful to the government of Argentina for accepting him with open arms and allowing him to live there..great video guys... thanks for making this

Great video very well done ! I live in San Carlos de Bariloche now for 2 years and your video captures perfectly the energy of this unique city , Should have thousands of view its so good this video , Only one correction its not a river in front but a lake Lago Nahuel Huapi !

Hi guys, what you see is not a river, it's a lake. You confused Nahuel Huapi Lake with the Rio Negro (Black River in English), which isn't close to Bariloche. However, Rio Negro is also the name of the province Bariloche is located in. Also, the nuclear project in th 1950s (called the Huemul Project, you can read about it in wikipedia) was aimed at building a fusion reactor, not a nuclear bomb. The project was indeed lead by a nazi nuclear scientist though. Paradoxically, though that project failed, Bariloche DID become a hub for nuclear science, research and engineering. There's a atomic research center, and the local company INVAP builds nuclear reactors for Argentina and many other countries around the world.

The lake that Bariloche is hugging is called Nahuel Huapi. Fun fact: some guy saw some floating piece of wood or whatever and the myth of the Nahuel Huapi monster, named Nahuelito after the lake, was born. Nobody believes it but it's funny. Also people in Bariloche are horrible drivers. Every time I spend time there and leave It hurts, I'm furiously in love with that city : (
