Let's spend a weekend in flowers together! We'll give some lumiere gladiolus away, chat and look at a florist harvest, and then set up the stand and enjoy a home grown arrangement. Hopefully it doesn't storm!

I grow my flowers to give away. I only hope the recipients how much care an love I put into these flowers. Those bouquets are only $10 at your stand, what a bargain for long lasting flowers.

I created a little “postage stamp” of a cutting garden this year. (It’s very small.) My dream was to make a few bouquets to give away. Well, my dream has come true. The joy and surprise on people’s faces is so gratifying. You have actually inspired me to do this in a couple of your videos. Thank you! 💐

I loved this video. Well honestly, I love all of your videos but I really enjoyed this casual look of what you harvest and why. That arrangement for your dining room is absolutely gorgeous! I like your non-symmetrical arrangements but I love this one even more! When you make another one like it would you mind filming it? Thank you for all that you do.

Yes please do this again! I adore your flowers and garden so much. The stormy weather adds to the atmosphere. I can just imagine how you might be feeling, as the sound of the thunder gets louder. Gardening with beautiful flowers inspired me to never give up with my fight to survive a rare autoimmune condition that I got 20yrs ago when my children were still young. The garden is a therapeutic place to be and your garden makes me want to keep planting in anyway that I can. Are there many perennials that well sell well to florists and to people at your flower stand?

I have a tip for you when you need to transport a vase in the car….. use a milk crate or any small box and place the vase in so the flowers are just over the edge and then pack the sides with newspaper or any pliable items. I’ve used sweatshirts and paper bags before 😀

Right now is a great time to get terrific heavy cardboard from grocery stores. Those big pallet size displays of watermelon are essentially flat cardboard on top of a wooden pallet. It's great to put over an area you want to develop, cover with wood chips.

You do a beautiful job! Loved the bouquets! I can’t imagine how you can make a profit with only charging $10 for your bouquets. They look like they’re worth a lot more than that to me. I tried growing flowers for cutting this year, but things didn’t turn out well. There seems to be a big learning curve from veggies to flowers. Also, the triple digit temps since early June haven’t helped. No end in sight, either, very unusual for SE Idaho.

Your centerpiece is lovely, it's nice to have your own bouquet. Actually that's why I started cut flowers so I could do this as well. But ah this year I have bunny's and a groundhog along with all the squirrels. I have only really been able to have sunflowers one year after that the animals got wise and get to them and this year no zinnias the bunny's got to my zinnia bed. I just let them be it is what it is. If I grew for a living it would certainly be hard. But it's their home too. That's what happens when you create a beautiful space everything wants to enjoy and be surrounded by it. Love the hummingbird. I was the one who messaged you about the gladioli. I have not been able to plant because of the rain.I live in upstate NY so our weather is similar. I'm looking into storing them now. Take care.

What a beautiful weekend you had!💕 We celebrated our daughter’s bridal shower this past weekend and I put together the table centerpieces!☺️ I’m ALWAYS afraid of bringing in BUGS because it’s happened many times. I never hear you talk about bugs on your flowers… not a problem for you? How?

This is a wonderful idea, a vlog about a weekend in flowers. Loved it so much. Your garden looks topnotch at the moment! And your arrangements are out of this world. I would love to buy from your stand, unfortunately I´m thousands of miles away! So I must rely on my own flower harvest.Best wishes, happy gardening, Hanni.

This is just a beautiful arrangement that you made. You have so many varieties! Is there a way to do a video showing all of your garden beds? I can't picture how many flower beds that you have in your yard that grow so many different flowers! It would be kind of nice to tie out each flower in that vase to the location in your yard where they are growing. Just a suggestion. Thank you!

Beautiful, Danielle! You've probably talked about this before, but I'd love reminders for tips and tricks for transporting flowers. I love sharing my flowers, but figuring out how to do that can be tricky. I am in southern New York, so our weather is similar. It's just not quitting this year, is it?? 🌧☁️⛈🌬🌡😱

Hi Danielle, I love this weekend flower video. May I ask, what is the foliage plant mixed in with the Bells of Ireland at the base of your beautiful Sunday arrangement; just below the pink Lily? This is such a gorgeous bouquet, thank you for sharing. The Poppy seed heads look wonderful in the arrangement too.

Questions: hi Danielle :) I’m newer to your channel and am inspired by your work! •how big is the land you farm? •what is your educational/professional background? •do you turn a profit or does the farm stand just financially sustain your gardening? Thank you!!

Hi Chelsea. Welcome! I am a Penn State master gardener and I have managed large public vegetable farms in the past. I also teach and write about horticulture for different companies. I sometimes teach design. Our current property is 1/2 an acre.

Danielle, at your suggestion I purchased the quick dip which seems to be very helpful. Do you use various types preservatives for certain flowers? Hope it stops raining soon. I went to a major bargain store today and bought a bunch of $3.00 umbrellas to protect some of my lilies. Thank you for creating such an enjoyable channel. You are a great host and the gardens are just lovely.

I loved watching this Danielle and would definitely love to see more as the season goes on. I have a question - did you direct sow your black swan poppy seeds? I have just managed to buy some seeds (as well as a scarlet peony poppy) and I think I should pretty much get them into my NZ winter garden about now. My aim for my cutting garden that I'm currently creating is to be able to take bouquets to the rest homes in our area. PS: I just adore that beautiful little Hummingbird! Sadly not a species we have here in New Zealand.
@NorthlawnFlowerFarm3 жыл бұрын
Hi friend! Yes, I direct seeded the poppies. I usually seed them about 6 weeks before our last frost. The lilac poppies are about to open!
