Hi everyone! This vlog is a little bit different because it's sort of the 'in between' moments while I film another more proper Jeju vlog :) I was sent to Jeju by the Korea Tourism Organization and had a really lovely itinerary, but there were gaps in it where I could do my own thing and this is what came of it hahah Please look forward to my next Jeju vlog which is significantly less chaotic (but much more windy lol) Love always!

For those asking about the symbols behind me around the 12:00 mark, that sign was originally a Buddhist symbol and can be seen all over the world at Buddhist temples. Thanks Cari! Yes that is a Buddhist symbol and you can see them in temples in Korea but we dont wear any fashion items that have that symbol on it. We respect is as a Buddhist symbol. I wish people in the fashion industry dont make fashion items with Rising Sun..

Thank you, I flinched a bit (as a German it's ingrained in me to flinch at swastikas), but quickly reminded myself of the Buddhist meaning of the symbol and calmed down. Feelings are stupid sometimes. :D

The swastika is a highly revered symbol of spirituality that originated in India. We regard it as very auspicious here. It only got vilified after the Nazis adopted it to spread their propaganda.

About your Spirited Away moment in the forest clearing... isn’t it amazing that we get these moments in very different places? My memorable one was in Portree, Isle of Skye, in a meadow between the vast sky and the sheer cliff, with a couple of grazing ponies and no one in sight for miles... What it had in common with your Jeju moment was the sense of complete isolation and the flapping wind...

I love how South Korea seems to really support local businesses, at least that is what it looks like? Like you seem to show a lot of adorable little stores and cafes. I thought Japan was my no.1 dream location but South Korea (specifically Jeju) is hastily starting fight for equal place on that tier lol

Today was such a great day. Saw some family members for the first time in months, was able to relax for the rest of the day despite all the stress school is giving me, and now I’m finishing it off with a Cari vlog at 2AM. The footage from the ocean and the huge open field intensified my longing to travel and find my happy place so much that it made me a bit emotional for a hot minute. I always dream about living it up in urban areas of Korea but I think some nature might do wonders for my well-being too. Couldn’t end the day on a better note, got amazing vibes from this one. It's cool how different tidal areas can be at low and high tide; it's almost like it could be two separate environments. OMG, I miss Jeju so much. It is so beautiful. I don't know if you've visited the cactus colony in Jeju, but in that area, there is a cafe with a waterfall cave inside! It is called 월령 and it is so gorgeous. I recommend that to everyone who visits the west side of Jeju. It is quite close to the Hyeopjae Beach

Such a nice vlog, it's funny, I just watched a movie filmed in Jeju (Night in Paradise) ! Would love to go there and have breakfast in the same cafe, what a view ❤️ I like this kind of stormy weather when the horizon is blurred and you can't tell the difference between the sea and the sky ... I love this because your viewers have been saying for ages that the Korea Tourism Organization should use you for some of the promotion for the country. You really do make it seem like such a lovely place to visit and pass time. You really help people envision what their time spent there might be like by joining you for walks through the neighborhoods and your often spontaneous style of exploration. Also, I'm not so sure that's an American education as much as a California education. And maybe a Florida education. Not so many animals that can eat you in my region of the country lol

I am very introverted and I understand that when you are vlogging you would be doing it on your own but I think you probably spend a lot time by yourself. I hope you do spend time with friends and Kurt too! It's important to have time to get outside your own head, when I lived in Korea especially I spent a lot of time on my own.
