As dps goes up prayer pots gain value, at least until the point where you still have food when they run out, I think ideally you want to run out of food and prayer pots around the same time.

They are worth more for sure but they're also harder to unlock. Unless theres a quest i cant think of herblore exp is a giant pain right now.

Rarghs had the r cbow upgrade available for 3 episodes. Should've been r cbow and ppots vs rune scim and ppots. But rargh didn't plan well for herb like link did and has just had bad rng. You shouldn't purposely prevent link getting upgrades just because rargh didn't plan right / gets unlucky with drops.

Or being insanely lucky and completing a hard clue with their shit stats. But I also think that after this immense gift of unlocks for link, they should have Skill XP as a reward just to let Rargh catch up on herblore...

One thing that gives him a disadadvantage is he has to spend extra money/time getting ammo every episode. Though having that new bow helps to mitigate that wile training/killing things for loot at least.

@@franklinbolton8730 True, Avas should have been unlocked for Rargh at least... Range is strong in pvp but with this format time spent training, getting gear and so on gives melee such an advantage, especially with ironman rules.

@@amandaamaro8989 which relies on RNG and doesn't matter. Believe it or not, RCB unlocked via crazy arch helps link out way more than it does Rargh. Rargh will spend all of his time trying to get a completely RNG drop that he can't get bolts for. Broads are so far out of question they should not even be remotely considered and mith bolts are also an RNG drop that by the time he eventually gets some, the episode will be over for a bolt type that is arguable not better, and may be worse, than what he has now. He needs prayer pots and range pots. He ignored the herblore grind after all of this time and the series is just terrible to watch because of it. he should have been killing chaos druids this whole time. Collecting those bolts, getting the herblore levels early. Then he kills crazy arch and uses the mith bolts with the rcb in the fights before link can get dragon and out damage him. But he spent all of his time getting a rune kite that barely got him a win one time, then gets absolutely destroyed the next fight. he also refuses to get an archers helm claiming this range tank build but his defense is shit and weapon is more shit. You can have all this rune but when you have a pillow you are throwing at a guy in full rune with a d scimmy, you need all of the dps help you can get. because the only thing his tanking getting him is a guaranteed loss. My man is going to be getting slammed with 20's next episode and he has nothing to come back at link with. This episode goes to show that Rargh is getting nothing but screwed over by the unlocks. They unlocked all of that area in one fight for mm/lost city but couldnt get my man an avas device yet? It doesn't even take that many more squares to get! Link is being a greedy cunt with the unlocks and rargh is letting himself get walked over and it shows.

I guess its in part Rargh choosing range tank instead of just going mindless melee path... like no offense to link but his progression path is extremely easy and now hes there, rargh still needs luck to just get an rcbow and his bolts will be mith from chaos druids until when??? like honestly idk, what even drops addy+ and in reliable quantities? And he need to get PPots, how long is that grind going to take? all the while link can just sit back and gain massive cb exp and get more unlocks at his leisure. I think unless something drastic happens this is the exact pinpoint of where link runs away for good with the series... It was kept close because he was stuck with a rune scimmy, but d scimmy and dds? forget it.

Yes. Very unfair IMO - How are we about to unlock MM1 and Lost City for Link and nothing for Rargh? He has no Avas, no ability to grind prayer pots (reasonably) since there hasn't been skill exp rewards...at this point Link can "fine" tune his setup to maximize dps with BIS Spec MH and Spec or just Grind strength levels...

Also no non-combat skill rewards since Rargh did Druidic Ritual, wonder who is preventing that :thonk:

iban staff reward is mainly a benefit to rargh since magic is used to kill crazy archaeologist... but I mean if rargh wanted to win anyway he needs to train herblore and get prayer pots, instead of getting 8 crazy arch kills an hour, which is a massive waste of time. Even if he did get a rune crossbow, he doesn't have any way to get bolts...you can't buy bolts, his smithing/mining level is too low to make any decent bolts, and getting bolts from slayer is going to take quite a long time. Killing ice trolls is a massive waste of time as well seeing as it's more efficient to just train on yaks for xp and steal from ham chests for money. And an assembler is a completely negligible upgrade seeing as it's only +4 ranged, and you can pick up bolts without losing ticks anyway. So yea rargh is losing because he's been doing extremely inefficient things instead of training herblore.

It's hard to say what should be the priority when everyone's suggesting different things. If Rargh goes for ppots next episode (whether he gets them or not doesn't matter), the "fans" will rage at him for not killing the Crazy Archaeologist, training range or doing quests etc. Also I doubt it's even possible to grind those 29 herblore levels in 4 hours.

was also given MM1 map opening for no reason... Rargh got nothing in return for giving him his final upgrade of the season. Should have been random map opening still.

@@TheRSAngle I haven't seen that comment, but it's not giving him a disadvantage, it's a reward that was fair when link got it and it'd be fair to have that reward again. If having something that benefits the opponent more than you is a disadvantage, then unlocking the grand tree this episode was a massive disadvantage to Rargh, since he got literally nothing from it but link got multiple massive upgrades. Currently the rewards and unlocks have favored link heavily, so having rewards that favor rargh sometimes isn't "giving link a disadvantage", it's just fair play.

@@Nathan-en9dn it wouldn't have really been fair to not give him monkey madness, as it is by far his most important upgrade, and it's important that he still has stuff to do so he isn't just killing yaks for 4 hours. Unlocking MM1 is a logical progression path, but the issue is that they haven't given any path for rargh to get his biggest upgrade(prayer pots).

He would need rune xbow, addy/mith bolts, and ppots to be even now. that alone is based on rng and will take up the whole episode. Not to mention alot of other things the other side could be doing during that time and the fact that he didn't really use the dragon dagger spec and still decimated.

Yeah he's doing all these other plays for +3 bonuses here and there 5 episodes straight and forgetting that 40% damage reduction is huuuge!!! And now when he finally gets the restores it's too late. Needed them earlier. They needed to be priority 1

I still think biggest issue was where link got 2 rune items (100k coins really) for winning 1 fight.

He couldn't get restores until karamja was unlocked. Did you even listen?

The problem isn't "get prayer pots" rather "he should've gotten prayer pots" If link was able to do it so was and so is he, that's just a misplay that will cost him in the long run

I get the pressure but Rargh is constantly giving himself more disadvantages by not putting on the recoils quickly or using his 2nd spec until it's way too late, overeating, not knowing when to just leave his prayer on at the end of a fight... he's already really behind and these sorts of mistakes are just making it consistently easier for Link to win

score doesnt matter until the last few finale episodes. all of the episodes so far don't count for anything except the spoils listed at the end.

Like I said in a different comment, it's either rcb+ppots+power ammy next episode or it's gg. And even after that, assuming that setup is good enough to beat d scim/dds, then what does Rargh do next? Link has a clear path forward while Rargh does not

Wouldnt change the outcome at all tbh. Rargh has no good melee gear to match what Link has and doesnt have the money to get a rune plate, no stats to come close to dragon weapons. His best bet is magic. But Link has him beat there too as he is able to make way more money to throw at the tunes than rargh and turn up with deaths compared to rarghs chaos runes Also, watching rargh give up on death to dorg and run to ice trolls for money makes it clear how shit rargh is at the game and as a teamrargh man, it was actually quite triggering to watch. Basically rargh not doing druidic ritual in one episode literally cost him the whole series.

And d long probably isn't even that bad. But link probably didn't want to spend extra 100k.

And if your reasoning for Rargh not having to spend much to is "just get the drop already," then that makes no sense, one should always expect to go slightly over the drop rate.

The item is completely unnecessary atm and s total waste of time. He doesn't have to spend ANY time on getting the drop. Also rargh has had the ability to get a rcbow for 3 episodes, link just got dragon weapons. Links progression shouldn't be put behind just because rargh has made some bad decisions

Or instead of on drop rate, bc that might be too easy, make it double the drop rate guarantee item acquisition
