I really appreciate your views on handmade paints and art supplies and your ideas of showcasing different medias as opposed to the typical supply reviews (which I still definetly do enjoy) . Hunter did a beautiful job of creating these gorgeous paints and I think the piece you created with them is stunning. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your work!

Moon Grey is beautiful with all that granulation. It's a nice convenience mix of the common neutral a lot of artists use (ultramarine + burnt umber/sienna). Daniel Smith recently tubed their version as "Jane's Grey" but Marlette's appears to granulate much more. That makes it more attractive to me, I just love it when paints look unique. Thanks for the close up view of that swatch at 4:25 awesome texture :)

Wow, thank you for this video! I love this piece! The colors look so beautiful together, and the painting has such luminosity, particularly around the hands. I just bought one of the half pans of quin gold from Hunter. I'm so excited to give it a try :D

That bumblebee washi is so cuuuute! I haven’t gotten a chance to review this paint yet, aside from swatching out the Quin Gold next to the OG QG on my insta. Got to get around to it! When I unwrapped mine, though, I did notice that some of them were more solid than others, like my Quin Gold was as tacky as your yellow was. You’ve got me excited to finally give them the proper go I’ve been meaning to! Especially because Hunter has been so nice every time I’ve talked to him and totally deserves the feedback and support!

I was wondering if someone wanted to sell watercolors how do they name the colors do they just name it after the pigment they made it from or just name them whatever they want
@emilily6513
@emilily6513 5 жыл бұрын
That's really up to them! :) I've seen it done both ways. Traditional naming convention, or charming and enchanting naming conventions, it's really okay either way so long as the pigments are listed somewhere.
