These videos are so calming 😌 No talking, just the sound of nature and good homemade cooking….it feels so serene. These videos remind me to slow down and enjoy the small things in life…the things we usually rush through without thinking. Life is too short, we need to enjoy each task we do instead of seeing it as a chore. I can't stop watching these videos. It is not simply because this lady and I share the same Faith, or simply because I appreciate learning about classic Ukrainian dishes, and methods of preserving. It isn't simply a case that I wish I could live a life like this...I don't for a second suppose it easy though. It is because there is something very lovely that shines from this woman. I am grateful that she has allowed us a glimpse into her home and life. I feel enriched by it. May God bless and keep her.

Я багато разів була на відпочинку в різних місцях Карпат,в різні пори року і це завжди було для мене святом природи і людей що там живуть .І навіть,ловила на вудку форель у розвіднику. Дуже хочеться приїхати ще,але зараз війна..Маю надію,що після перемоги ,моє бажання здійсниться.Бажаю Вам і Вашій родині здоров'я,невпинної енергії і бажання жити і створювати коло себе красу і затишок!!! Maria is my favorite also. I love the natural lifestyle. No driving to stores to buy meat, fish, or fruits and vegetables. Riding to where someone catches big fat trout right out of the pond! And always fresh spring water! Picking mushrooms and herbs right from the earth. Thank you for the Maria videos!

whether she has access to stores is another question. You may not see it because she doesn't have access or not as easily. Its not likely her simply not choosing to go. You can fish in ice water too and people do that in siberia and they have access to stores. I once lived where we had fresh fish all the time and we had access to stores, a lot of stores and we had large population over 2M. We also had a growing climate but the population was so dense that most people had no backyards. However having fresh fish also means you need money. The living costs were so high that we would leave our country to buy cheaper food. Fresh doesn't mean affordable. There are other factors to consider. Where I grew up, our growing season was very short and we dont get lots of sun either. Most things are shipped to my country because we cant grow it and it still costs us an arm and leg, in part because its shipped in. We care about mother earth but mother earth doesn't always provide.

Wow, I've fished trout in the river by my homestead, but never have I seen it done in this manner. Pretty cool and I admire this women for how she lives. I too live alone and by woods and river. But I don't have the remoteness this women has. Living in the mountains is far superior and away from stress and and suburbia. Beautiful really!

Hello! I am from Nebraska in America. I cannot digest any starch, so I cannot enjoy bread or pastries. I could certainly enjoy the lovely fish she is cooking for her family. You can't get it any fresher than that. I enjoy the beauty of her countryside. My husband and I live in the woods, by a river. It is beautiful here too. Thank you for the video. I am certain her food is delicious and it makes me realise that all our kitchen gadgets are mostly superflous. I love Maria's lifestyle! I have so much respect for her choice to live in a more traditional way. It makes so much more sense than sitting on a freeway for 45 min. twice a day and stopping at supermarket on your way home to find something only half as fresh as what she's cooking and her larder is right outside her home! I have one question that keeps popping up as I watch her foods: Is that coarse grain she pours out fro the little wooden crock bulgar wheat or perhaps kasha? I've never had it in so many ways if it is 😋

Понятно, что все настоящее и красивое, но вкусовые качества этой форели далеко не самые ..., по мне как минтай вкуснее, чем искусственно выращенная форель, в Азербайджане сачком ловят, а тут как то странно в этой луже ловили удочкой, не понял совсем этой идеи. Показывают красивую речку думал, что в ней дикую форель будут ловить нагулянную и гораздо вкуснее по своим качествам.

Wow!!!that looks so tasty and such a beautiful place. I am from Durban South Africa. We have so many different influences in South African food from around the world. However our national favourite dish is Bobotie which was introduced into South Africa a long time ago relative to our countries history by the Cape Malay community. Thank you for such interesting cooking.
