The Brower Center hosted a conversation between two of Berkeley’s most treasured cultural statesmen: BAM/PFA Director Lawrence Rinder and Heyday Publisher Malcolm Margolin. In a wide-ranging discussion, they shared insights gained in their decades as the heads of an internationally-renowned art museum and trailblazing publishing house in one of the world’s most radical cities. Among other topics, Rinder and Margolin explored the role of imagination in social and environmental change and the past, present, and future of the arts in California.
