PLEASE READ THIS:
I made this video back in September before the 3rd season even started as a tribute to Season 2, (which had, despite all the flaws, its great moments) and uploaded it here but KZfaq muted the sound because of copyright reasons so I put it down again because it doesn't really make much sense without the song, does it?
But because I wanted to share the video anyway (it was a lot of work to make after all) I uploaded it on vimeo about one month later and put it on tumblr where it got 3,500 notes within a fews days. (Haha, I'm not even tumblr-famous xD)
But now I'll give it another shot. I'm afraid I had to pitch shift the sound (I hate to do this to such a beautiful song), but maybe it'll keep KZfaq from muting the vid.
I changed the coloring a bit, but other than that (and the pitch shifting) I didn't change anything about the video. I know there are no special transitions and it may not be very visually impressing, but I wanted to keep it simple and I think the song speaks for itself, no big special effects needed. ;)

I thought to myself "I always cry at fanvids, I'm going to force myself not to cry at this one". It was all going well until the "the way that she died" bit. Ohmygod, I'm sobbing. Beautiful fanvid, I loved it.

(cont) I love RENT so much, and it goes perfectly with this show. And it's great to see some love specifically focused on Season 2. I don't care how much people complain about it; I adored it, and there were so many brilliant moments for the actors and the characters. All the awards to this video!

This was amazing, at my school we did a play called lady pirates of the carribien and it's been a year since it finished and i still remeber all the people and all of my lines... so this fits perfectly, ♥♥♥ Thanks for uploading!

Very well done. Love the video. Even I though I dislike the song ( I had to sing it like 50 times in my life and I'm only 15 in case you're wondering why) it was still a beautiful video and season 2 was the season that hooked me. Yes, it was nothing like season 1 but it was still amazing.

Oh my gosh. Thank you for sending this to me! One of the best tributes I have ever seen; a gorgeous coloring, perfect pacing, and (what sets you apart from a lot of other great vidders) you actually payed attention to the lyrics and matched them really well. ;-D I especially loved "In bridges he burned" and "The way that she died." I teared up a bit there despite having to chuckle a bit at "In times that he cried." Poor Kurt really had an awful year. =P (tbc)

I was in show choir for years and this was always my favorite song that we would sing almost every year - it's such a classic so thanks so much for putting it to such a fun show! And your editing is perfect, you got all the best parts of the show in there. Great job!

damn girl! This is really the best g video! it shows the sad moments, and that I especialy love about the video: the nice moments, where everybody was happy! I don't know why everybody hated season 2, cause i loved it :) great job! wow!!!

I love this video, it's really beautiful, even though I don't watch this show, I still love the happy feeling you can get from watching it, all of their songs are amazing! I personally don't like the storyline, but I like watching something of E E L G every once in a while, like your video. :)

The pilot aired in 2009 and FOX is currently airing the 3rd season ;) And there will definitely be a 4th season later this year. Just search for it on Wikipedia! ;)
