Love the concept! I love Fit to Print and Cascadia too. There are a few on here that I haven't tried yet, but they look fun. Overall, great list!

I enjoyed the video. You also look like Michael Cera. Superbad was a great movie. I remember watching it in theatres. Thanks for teaching me more about board games. I think I’ll try one of your recommendations.

Nice idea to have a game of the month! I only have one on your list, which is Ready, Set, Bet. I’ve only brought it out for a large group once so far, but I see the potential for it. I am interested in Cascadia with Landmarks expansion so that we could play up to 6 players. I’m finding it’s the casual games that make it to the table most frequently. The surprise hit game with my game group is Heat Pedal to the Metal; although, it may have been released in 2022. It was a theme I wouldn’t normally choose, but like I said it’s getting a lot of table time and people keep requesting that I bring it. We have fun with it!

Yes, Heat is awesome!! It was my December game of 2022. Hope you get a chance to try Cascadia Landmarks, I adore the base game and hope to try expansion soon. Thanks for watching!

Inis is really a very different experience, it's not as warmongerish but very strategic
@boardgameapprentice7 ай бұрын
That has me more interested. I find myself drawn to games with the veneer of war & conflict but is rooted in strategy.

@@boardgameapprentice you and I Both. One of the things I like about Inis (also what a few folks in my game group dislike) is that war is very very expensive on both sides and can cost you a lot of actions. Egotistical people usually lose that game

Fun video! Ready Set Bet was my #1 New-to-me game of 2023: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m7l7iJWZ2qzOooE.html I keep going back and forth on whether or not I would like Ra... I love the components and it looks like fun, but I'm not sure I would reach for it over something like QE or Camel Up... I also keep going back and forth on Thunder Road. I'm worried it may be very group dependent... But man, your review really makes me want to try it!

Hmm good point about RA. The big difference to me between RA and QE / Camel Up is that it's a closed economy (the "money" in the game never enters or leaves) so it's much tighter than the other two. Might scratch a different itch! (Also, I love QE!) Thunder Road is probably group dependent! If folks aren't OK with randomness and potential player elimination I can see them bouncing off. So much chaotic fun though 😂

@@boardgameapprentice Thanks! I'll definitely have to try Ra one of these days. I'll keep an eye out to see if Thunder Road goes on sale, and it'd probably be a good excuse to scoop it up!
