again Tracy, from one artist to another, fabulous work! Have been considering a gel press. You have convinced me to get one :) You do with stamps, what I usually do with paint & mini brush. You have just made my card making easier. Your artist heart has blended with mine to make my "play" time a lot more fun. Gives me a break from oils & glass work (even though I LOVE both). thank you!!!!

I think she did the sponging because of the mistake on the top right when she touched it with the stamp, to hide it. I think she was just trying to make it work.

What is the first substance you used on the gel plate, and what were those containers of liquid? You did name the ink and the Liquid Pearls, but you didn't say what those other "ingredients" were.
@osofine234 жыл бұрын
Laura Buehler I’m also dying to know what those liquid colors were that she dropped on with the fan brush! The effect when she pulled the gel print looks kind of like alcohol inks, but I think that globular effect was just from tapping drops with the fan brush. Later, I think she said she used Brusho purple to color in the flowers... I’m not sure how that works, however, as Brusho is powdered pigments, I think (maybe she adds Brusho to water to make a kind of liquid watercolor?). There are a few brands of liquid watercolor (that come liquid), but it would be great to get more specifics! I was hoping the items used would be in the description, but no. 🤔
@osofine234 жыл бұрын
Laura Buehler Ok, I just clicked the link and found another video that had the same setup of materials. It is Brusho. Also, another comment says that they are really fun and you can get a starter pack on Amazon. I looked it up and you can find it here: Brusho by Colourcraft 12 Color Brusho Crystal Colour Set www.amazon.com/dp/B004EBIUW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CqnFDb2B1XW6J When I went to search Amazon, I typed “Brusho” and it gave me “Brusho Watercolor Crystals”. I’ve looked at this product before. It’s a UK or Continental European (Brexit is still stalled as I write this! Yay!) product. I think you can find at least one KZfaq video comparing it with a similar product - I know I saw one at one point. I’m an art supply addict, so I’ll probably get some, even though I don’t really need them! 😂 I’m curious about using inks and water based paint on my gel plates as I’ve only used acrylics before (I’ve always read that inks stain the plates, but it’s not like they stay pristine and crystal clear anyway). Luckily I have the entire range of VersaFine Clair pads (see addiction above), so I’m going to try stamping on a plate as soon as I get my current project off my table/desk. If you’ve never tried them, they are fantastic ink pads, IMO! They are gorgeous colors, pick up fine details really well (though not quite as well as the plain VersaFine), and stay open for a surprising long time, which is great for embossing powder (and if you want them to dry faster, you can hit them with a heat gun). I have powdered pigments called “Magicals” from Lindy’s Stamp gang that come in mixes of colors that you use by tapping out a little onto a page and spritzing with water to get amazing fireworks effects. Those are a lot of fun, but I wouldn’t add water to them first, because then the colors would all mix together. It will be fun to see if I can make my own combinations of colors with Brusho (especially as the Magicals are more expensive)! Final thing to do is look for re-sealable jars to keep the liquid Brusho in! They come in jars, but I think they are pretty concentrated and you wouldn’t want to use up all of your “crystals” by pouring water into the jars they come in. I’m sure Amazon has something (which they will ship separately in a giant box 🙄). Let’s have some fun! 😊
@laurabuehler4 жыл бұрын
@@osofine23 I have some Brusho that sound similar to the "Magicals" you describe above. I've never seen them as a liquid before. Thanks so much.

Why is your multifarious paper not sold in the United States? You advertise it in your tutorials, however you don’t sell it here. Why?
@vrediana4 жыл бұрын
You did it beautifully! How did you make the ink spread so smoothly? I did everything the way you did, and yet my ink does not spread smoothly on the gel plate, even if I do not know how long it has been rolling. I have the whole background in tiny dots. And I can't stamp on a gelli plate, because what I stamp also consists of dots and is blurred. :( I had to stamp the plants only on paper. Because those stamped on the gelli plate were smudged. You can see it on the example of pink plants - I stamped them on a gel plate. After stamping, I had to correct them with a gel pen. I used distress inks for the background, and pink plants are oxides. None of these inks have the same effect as yours. :( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9x8e8xzp8_Moo0.html
